Snooping Around At Work

Employees here at Convergys are not allowed to browse non-work-related websites. That is why the company blocked public websites so that employees could focus on their job. Being part of the technical support department did not exempt us from doing such. However, since most of my colleagues are technically savvy, I am glad that one of them taught me how to access my favorite websites without being caught. We could be anonymous to the company's server by using these URLs: www.unblock24.de or www.secure-tunnel.com.

I'm so glad I have the leeway of updating my blog right now. Since I just got back and haven't been around for two months, I still have to buddy jack with my colleagues so I can relearn my technical skills. I was given 5 days to do side jacking so I got a lot of time snooping around and browsing my favorite sites!

That's what these anonymous proxy servers are for!

I also worked in a company where yahoo sites are blocked and IMs are not allowed. Fortunately, Google talk works around these firewalls and can be installed with a limited account. The MIS had not figured out a way to block these software.
