Gossip Girl

"Good morning Upper East Siders!". This is one of the famous lines on the TV series Gossip Girl I have been watching since yesterday. It's all about life full of drama, friendship and scandals of elite teenagers living in New York. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is the one mostly envied here by most of her adversaries, not just because of her handsome boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), but also because she is thought to have a perfect life. She is so pretty and gets all the lines of clothing her mom designs. The threat of her life is her ex-bestfriend Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) whom she suspects is her boyfriend's fantasy. Serena came back from boarding school expecting to have the same friendship with Blair. Shameful secrets about the reasons of her leaving New York a year ago were revealed right after she was gaining her bestfriend's trust and meeting the love of her life, Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley). Everything turned out to be a mess. But each character's are going to stand up on each one's adversities of course being together - rebuilding their friendship. Finding happiness on their seemingly facade life.

I am actually amused on how rich these children are. They actually have the life I dream of, mostly. But then, this series tells me that being rich still won't make you really happy. I am not totally addicted to this one. I like Desperate Housewives more than Gossip Girl and can't wait to watch the 5th episode of it.

For now let me get done with the first episode of this series.... Oh by the way, the voice over for this series is a blogger named Gossip Girl. She actually is the one responsible of the gossips in the school. Her victims are the characters in the series.

Another famous line - "And Who Am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me. Xoxo, GossipGirl..."

I recently bought the complete 1st season of Gossip Girl on dvd. I was curious about all the hype surrounding the show. Gotta say, I'm now a big fan of the show.

I used to like Desperate Housewives but feel that the current season is a bit too boring compared to when it 1st started.
