The Proposal...

The Proposal is a romantic comedy that I have watched twice last week. Lol! Yeah, been a bum these past few days. And yes! I am definitely a fan of Sandra Bullock.

The movie is about an ambitious executive editor-in-chief, Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) of a book publishing company who's about to be deported to Canada. She forces her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her. The latter accepts it with the condition of getting promoted as an editor of the company since he have painstakingly worked for her for years.

Both have to spend 3 days in Andrew's hometown in Alaska to tell his family about his marriage to his boss whom everyone knew he hated so much. They have to make everyone believe, including the immigration official, that they're in love with each other.

This movie is really fun to watch. Here's the trailer:

Iglesia Ni Cristo Day

This coming Sunday is our Church's mid-year Thanksgiving Anniversary. I have been busy preparing for it this week. All of us, church members of Iglesia Ni Cristo all over the world are actually excited about this year's anniversary. We are going to celebrate the 95th foundation anniversary on July 27, Monday.

On July 12, 2009, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo declared July 27 as "Iglesia Ni Cristo Day", starting this year onwards.

Extending Help?

A friend of mine is planning to buy a laptop. When she learned that I used to work as a technical support agent, she started asking for advise from me about computer stuff. Well, when she began asking questions, I told her that I really don't have enough knowledge about computer hardware.

Although I used to work as a technical support representative and even experienced selling memory upgrades for computers like ddr2, I told her that my knowledge isn't sufficient and that I won't be of enough help. I gave a friend's number whom I used to work with, who actually is a computer geek. I know for sure that she will get enough help she need from that person.

I still helped her, didn't I? Lol!

Senti..........

Entrecard is down again. Can't do my dropping chore, no assignments for paid post yet and nobody to chat with right now. Geez! Still feeling so sad...

Been listening to this song by India Arie called Heart of the Matter. I love this song from the first time I heard it even though it's a sad song. Right now I keep listening to it even if it makes me cry...

Just feeling all the more sentimental...........

Just Tired..........

Work has been very tiring today. I got calls from 2 angry women. Well, you can just imagine how upsetting it was. But since we're paid to "help" all types of customers, I sure did handle both calls well. Let me tell you how one call went.

Onset of the call the customer already yells. Oh, not just yells but screams at me and I was wearing the headset at that time. With this kind of irate callers, I normally switch to the phone's handset so that my eardrums won't get hurt that much. Lol! Even when my phone's receiver is 2 inches away from my ears, I can still hear the customer's aggravated voice. Since she doesn't let me talk, I let her yell until she thought I was not on the line anymore. She said, "Hello? Are you still there?". I said, "Yes I'm here." And she started screaming again. I let her yell until she got tired and she kept telling me, "You just can't imagine how aggravated I am". You know what I said? After minutes of hearing her yell, I just coolly said, "Oh, I can actually imagine it ma'am since you have been yelling at me." She kept quiet for a sec then I added empathizing statements like, "I know how upsetting this is, and I may feel the same way if it happened to me. But don't worry, I'll be glad to help you and I assure you that this kind of incident is not going to happen anymore."

After we were able to resolve her issue, the customer apologized to me and said that she's not mad at me but she's just upset about what happened.

Phew! It wasn't just obvious to her that I have been controlling myself since I don't want to be fired from my job. This job is really tiring, isn't it? I hope I won't have too many irate callers tomorrow. So help me God.

Goodnight everyone!

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

I just came home from going out with my best friend Czarina. I actually didn't plan to go out today but after she called this afternoon and insisted for us see a movie, I said yes even if I hated the long trip going to her place. Lol!

When we were in the mall, we decided to watch Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs instead of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen since I sort of promised my cousin Willy (Michelle's younger brother) that we will be watching that movie together next week.

Watching Ice Age with my best friend was fun! We can't help but giggle on each of the funny scenes in the movie. There were a lot of kids in the movie house and their contagious cute laughter made it even funnier. Hah! We felt like kids once again! We really enjoyed the movie!

The mammoths Manny and Ellie are expecting a baby and Sid the weasel steals a dinosaur's eggs to also start a family of his own. Yes! Same old Sid who doesn't think! Lol! So this lead Sid to the dinosaur world and his friends have to rescue him and have to face a lot of dangers with the help of Buck, the one-eyed weasel who hunts dinosaurs.

Scrat the sabre-toothed squirrel is still in love with his beloved acorn until he meets Scratte, a female squirrel.

Here's the trailer. If you have kids or want to feel like kids once again, the movie is surely a good one for you!

Friends With Benefits

In friendship, I believe that it's a give and take relationship. One may have given more than enough to the other in order to help and not ask anything in return. But what if that person you thought was a friend take advantage of your friendship? What if you find out that that person just pretends to be a friend? That he or she is some kind of a leech who will suck up all the kindness you have until all that's left of you is disappointment? In the end you 'd ask yourself, "What have I done to deserve such treatment?". It's just not fair, is it? It definitely sucks!

Now today's feature for Music Monday is her song which I really like! It's entitled "Thinking Of You".

People Always Leave...

This was a painting done by Peyton Sawyer in one of the characters of the TV series I so fond of watching - One Tree Hill. Sawyer drew this when her Mom died in a car accident. And most of the people she care for leaves her with a broken heart.

Sad but true, people just come and go. Most of them leave...
