Planning For A Nice Yet Simple Home

I'm excited about my homecoming next month. I don't know yet what's in store during my vacation break but I'm ready for what will happen. I miss my family so much especially my mom. We have a lot of catching up to do. I know we'll talk about the house that she wanted to build on the 2 empty lots that she bought. She has been telling me about it over the phone and kept asking me to send some money so that she can start getting the home built. I wanted to be their when planning for the architecture because I wanted it to be nice yet simple. I just want a decent home with three bedrooms with a terrace. I can also ask to add a patio and maybe some Dolan Designs lighting to add beauty in it. That would be nice. I better work harder to earn money for the house.

Yahoooo! MyDSL Installed today!!!

I got my DSL installed today! I'm just so happy about this! Lol!

No more spending for internet cafes. No more waiting for my turn in the internet shop. Most of all, no more hassles just to go online!!! I can blog all day or all night long, whenever I want to!

Spending Time With My Best Friend...

I haven't seen my best friend Czarina for quite a while so I decided to spend my rest day with her. I went home after work to get my laptop and headed to her place yesterday.

She was doing her laundry when I arrived. She didn't want me to help her even when I insisted. We did sing along with her karaoke when she was done. And later went out to a bar nearby and watched an acoustic band play. I don't drink beer so she ordered coffee for me instead. Lol!

We came home late but we had fun nevertheless.

She skipped school today. Am I a bad influence? Oh no! It wasn't my idea.

When I woke up this morning, I decided to clean her quite messy closet.

Tadaaan! My accomplishment for the day! :)

Best friends for life!

We're gonna go and watch New Moon later. We're both fans of Stephanie Myers and we're actually excited to see the gorgeous bods of the "pack" in the Twilight saga. Jacob! Here we come!

Talking About Fashion

I have been fond of watching Project Runway Philippines lately. It's a reality show which is about finding the next big Filipino fashion designer. It is hosted by the beautiful model and actress Teresa Herrera. The judges and mentor are great designers here in the Philippines like Rajo Laurel and Jojie Lloren.

The contestants give their best on making great designs from limited budget and time constraint. It's just amazing how these young designers come up with really great designs despite the pressure.

Well for the love of fashion and fame, that's what keep the contestants going. All of them wanted to be known in the fashion industry like Michael Kors and other Filipino designers who have become popular even in the international league.

Time To Get Healthy And Fit

I haven't jogged since last week. Sigh. I got too lazy and stubborn again lately. I am planning to get myself enrolled in a gym. In that way I can force myself to exercise since I'll be spending money for it. I really have to do something on my bulging tummy. Once I start my workout, I know I'd also be advised to do weight loss diet at the same time. It's going to be tough but I think I'm ready for it. It's about time to get myself healthy and fit.

Michelle Is Back In Manila...

Michelle arrived back here in Manila last night after her 10-days vacation at our hometown. It was only this morning that we got the chance to talk since she was already sleeping when I got home from church last night.

She said she enjoyed her vacation so much. We talked mostly about her Mom's birthday party which was celebrated at their residence in Tupi, South Cotabato. Relatives came by and enjoyed the party and get-together. The sisters, including my mother had some kind of a reunion. Of course, my mom's wit and the sister's being naturally funny made the celebration enjoyable. I bet they all had a good time especially my dear cousin Michelle.

She told me that Lainy liked my gift for her. It was a perfume she wanted for her birthday. So I figured I buy her one.

Just listening to my cousin's vacation make me miss my Mom so much. I miss coming home and laughing with my cousins and spend sometime with my brothers. Hopefully I'd be home on mid January. I promise to spend it more time with my Mom on my next homecoming.

Internet Installation Rant...

When I went to pay for my internet bill last Monday, I prepared myself for another long wait. Since the internet and phone provider is located in Makati, most of the people seemed like they just got off from work like myself. Others for sure are rich people who have their netbooks with them. They were tapping on their laptops while waiting for their turn to pay. I was observing the people around me to pass the time when I was there.

The service is really different here in the Philippines when compared in the U.S. You have to wait long lines or queues and waste a lot of time just to get something that you need. You can't just do it over the phone which should have been convenient. When it's your turn to the cashier, you will then be told that there were incorrect information on your application and you need to go back on another business day to check if it was corrected.

Thankfully, on Monday when I checked my account, it was already set and I was able to make a payment. I was waiting this week for someone to install the phone and internet but to no avail. I called the customer service hotline and I was told that they have incorrect address again! I'm getting frustrated already because I really want my internet connected as soon as possible. Now I have to wait for next week for these technicians to install my internet and phone. What a waste! Sigh!

Friday The 13th...

I really don't believe in the jinx's brought by Friday the 13th until today. Wela and I seemed to have a bad day.

It all started when we decided to go out and run some errands after we withdraw our payout since today is a payday. We were actually anticipating a good start. To our dismay, the payout wasn't released yet when we checked it on the atm booth. So we waited for 30 minutes, and then another 30 minutes.

We've already wasted an hour waiting for our salary. So we decided to go home relax for a little bit. We got paid anyway but it was already late for our errands since we need to send money to our loved ones and pay our bills. So we have to go through long queues when we were running our errands.

I decided to take my chance at PLDT where I applied for my internet and phone provider. The wait lasted for more than 2 hours. I was glad Wela was there with me during the wait because if not, I would get soooo bored.

Err... I guess not! Lol!

Guess where were seated while waiting! Hahaha!

People there seemed to forget about the frustrating wait since they see Wela and yours truly just laughing. Even the manager and the customer service representatives on their desks were amused with our smiles. We just seemed to be having fun despite the long wait.

When I was about to pay, we found out that my address in the system is not correct. It has to be fixed by someone else in a different department who had already gone for the day since it was already 5:30 pm. Sigh. I was told to come back on Monday.

It was actually aggravating. However, instead of us frowning on our way home, we decided to treat ourselves at Jollibee which is the nearest fastfood chain.

We soo deserve this!

When we got full, we just laughed at today's experience. Hah! What a day! Friday the 13th indeed!

All Set For Pacquiao Vs. Cotto

Pacquiao's fight against Cotto on Sunday is already marked in every Filipino's calendar. Everyone here seems to be anticipating for the fight. Like all his other fights, it would seem like the time is going to pause here in the Philippines for sure. Filipinos will forget the mishaps brought to us by the past typhoons and calamities. Politicians will stop debating especially those who are running for presidency. Filipino's world is going to stop momentarily. All eyes will be glued to the television sets, hoping and praying that our Pacquiao is going to raise the Philippine flag once again on this fight.

Go Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao! Make us proud again!!!

Lunch At Dencio's With Colleagues

We had a very stressful day at work yesterday. That's why after work, my colleagues and I decided to have lunch at Dencio's. We deserve a treat after a day's work. We had fun chitchatting while waiting for the food and took some pictures of ourselves.

A mom's beauty problem...

My pretty colleague Julie Ann is always worried about the darkening part underneath her eyes. As a mom of a cuddly 2-year old boy who doesn't seem to get tired of playing and as a call center agent at the same time, she doesn't get enough sleep. What she does is she keeps buying these eye creams and concealers just to cover up the dark circle. She doesn't have a choice anyway unless she quits her job which she's not prepared to do yet. I just tell her that she still looks pretty despite the dark circles. Even advise her to get enough sleep if she can. She said it's difficult now that she's a mom. She has to stay up for her little boy. Oh well. That's really tough!
