Seen Too Much Garbage In Pasay...

Joanna and I jogged on Wednesday morning. We're not yet familiar with the streets here in Pasay so we did a little adventure.

We kept walking to find a park somewhere or a wide empty parking lot where we can do some stretching and jogging. It was around 5:30 in the morning but the streets are already busy. Bunch of people are on their way to work. And since there are lots of bus terminals in Pasay, we come across passengers who I think are on their way to their provinces.

Pasay have dirty sidewalks. It's disappointing to me because I didn't see too much garbage when I was making my rounds in Makati in the mornings. I think the government in Pasay must do something about the place.

Anyway, we found an empty parking space in the long run. We made a few rounds of walks and runs in the parking lot and went home. We have to deal with the mess on our way home.

I hope I can find a nearby park next week where we can do our exercises or else we'll turn to most effective diet pills. It's better than seeing too much garbage in the sidewalks.

I'm Ready To Move Out...

All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go...
Standing here outside your door....

I'm not "Leaving On A Jet Plane". I just got some lyrics of the song. I'm moving out tonight. Lowela and I started packing before midnight last night. It was tiring since we also have to clean the room and do some laundry. I think all is set and we're ready to go.

Michelle will not be moving with us in Pasay City. She got her own apartment in Pasig City which is near her workplace. She's getting married this year anyway so it's about time for her to get her own pad.

Pasay City is near Makati City, not too far from work but the apartment that we got is way cheaper. It will help us save some money.

Moving out is really tiring. When I get to the new apartment, my internet connection is not yet installed. What a pain! But I'll try my best to still update my blogs and do my daily EC drops.

Way to go to the new home! :D

No Need For A Second Job

As employees, the most exciting part of the job is payday. As soon as we get our salary most of us goes shopping for necessities, make budget out of the salary as much as possible enable to survive for the next pay out. It's more like a cycle, isn't it.

I have tried applying for part time jobs in the past while having an 8-hour shift. I realized I will compromise my health if I do that. I won't be able to handle too much stress if I have a second job anyway.

Good thing I blog because I was able to somehow profit from it. I was able to buy for my necessities and send some money to my mom. And since I moved to my new apartment, I was able to invest for appliances that we can use and buy some more necessary items for the house like mattresses, plastic knobs, closets, etc.

I don't need to tire myself for a second job since I already have one. Besides, blogging has already been my passion.

Famous Octuplets Turned 1!!!

It's a BIG celebration for 8 babies of the "Octomom" Nadya Suleman. They just turned one on, Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010.

"The six boys and 2 girls were healthy kids", according to lawyer Jeff Czech. They made quite a mess when they were round up in table. They all got their hands in the cake.

Imagine taking care of all 8 babies at the same time! Changing diapers, hushing each one of them when they cry. What about when they grow older? Imagine Nadya chasing each of them when they become silly? LOL! And adding up to her agony, the paparazzis all over her place! Other than the Octuplets, she also have 6 other older kids that she's taking care of.

The result? Octomom has become an octo-hot-mama! She actually appeared in a bikini on a cover of a magazine after losing 150 pounds!

Well, it's still a hell of job being an Octomom, isn't it?

Savings Over Friends...

I kept declining invitations from friends lately since I've been waiting for my internet connection to get installed. They keep asking me to go out, have some fun in a bar. I always decline these invitations because I don't even drink. I might say yes if they take me to do karaoke. There I will have something to do and not get bored. I can even entertain them! LOL!

One of my colleagues keeps asking me to go to her pad for a sleep over. She's got internet connection and told me that I can use her DSL. She's got a lot of electronic gadgets to play with like her PSP and xbox but I'm not interested on those. I won't even be able to update my blogs for sure because I know we will just be up all night and chat! I'm such a killjoy, aren't I? I'm more of a homebuddy. Besides I have made a promise to myself to save money this year! I better keep that! :D

Sorry friends, I hope you all understand!

Saving Money A Priority

My mom has always reminded me about saving money for my future. That's her priority in life - saving money as much as she can. In fact she bought some properties in the province and were indeed good investments. She kept lecturing me about it, unfortunately, I am pretty much like my father who really don't know how to save. If not for my mom, I wouldn't be pressured to get a pension for myself.

This year, I am really trying my best to put some money in the bank. I might not be buying some gadgets this year, like the ipods that my colleagues talk about. I need to save money for the house that my mom kept asking me about. She bought the lot which is just a few square meters for the house that she would want me to put up. I really should be tight on my spending this year. I should make saving money a priority.

Help For Haiti

January 12, 2010, just a week ago, the beautiful country of the Caribbean was hit by a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake. We are all aware of the condition of the Haitians right now and a lot of us have done our part to help. Lots of donations are still coming to help the victims. Volunteers were also there to aid and even risk their lives to save people who are still trapped in the collapsed buildings. Many people were badly injured, a lot of lives were lost.

Hollywood stars pulled together to help. A lot of concerts were dedicated for Haiti. I was reading news about the concerts and I saw this video by Justin Timberlake singing "Hallelujah" which was originally sang by Leonard Cohen. His soulful version is so heartfelt that I want you all to hear.

Let's continue praying for the victims of Haiti earthquake.

Wendy Visited Rome!

A friend of mine, Wendy, is working as a babysitter in Denmark. She's been there for I think about a year now. She's quite an ambitious person and gutsy and very hardworking. I worked with her when I was in Pampanga and even was in the same house with her. We were great friends. We talked a lot about our lives and ambitions. She's the really gutsy type of person and I like that about her. She's not afraid of risks. She's very brave.

Last week, she spent 2 days in Rome. I sooo much envy her. She had fun in the beautiful place, maybe even smoked Avo cigars with friends. I wish I can also visit some beautiful places abroad. Well, I gotta have to do a lot of saving money for that! Or try to work abroad so I can save money and travel at the same time like Wendy. LOL! I am so envious, aren't I?

Jammed With Friends...

I was out last night with friends. Didn't go out to a bar, actually. Just at a friend's pad.

Since I really didn't have things to do last night, I didn't hesitate to say yes to Sheila's invitation to go to her place. She also invited Doc Steve who is also a friend of ours. I bought my guitar with me.

After eating KFC's yummy chicken, me and doc jammed a little bit. Since he is also a musician, we played some songs together. Sheila's keyboard came in handy so we played songs with the piano too. It was fun.

Blurry! :D
Me, Sheila and Steve
At least my day yesterday turned out to be fun!

Best Gift For My Mom...

Lainy and I were chatting earlier. She told me that she and her boyfriend Scott talked about me yesterday. He was wondering why I didn't have a boyfriend. I told her that I also have the same thoughts, myself. LOL!

As usual, me and Lainy talked about updates. From our blogs to family to whatever happened on our day. Until we came about discussing my financial status. She asked if I was able to save some money from my salary. I told her I can't yet since there are lots of expenses coming in. Besides, I really don't know how to follow my budget. Lainy gave me a great idea on how to save some money. I agreed to it right away.

I really love her suggestion because it will definitely help me save money for the house that my Mom wanted us to build so badly. She has been talking about it for months now whenever I talk to her over the phone. It's about time for me to save! A nice house with furnace filter won't be bad idea. A simple house would be the best gift that I can give to my Mom.

The First Cut Is The Deepest - My Version

A day of being sick, I decided to take a video of myself singing the song - The First Cut Is The Deepest. Sheryl Crow has a version of it but it was originally sung by Cat Stevens in 1967.

This is my entry for Music Monday this week. I hope you like it!

This Week's To-Do-List

I'm thinking about things to do to not get me bored on my 6 days off from work. Since I actually don't plan to go out of town since money is tight these days, I might as well make some sort of to-do-list.
  • Prepare my stuff to get ready to move out.
  • Jog in the morning.
  • Finish my online assignments on time.
  • Download my favorite music from Torrent. Thanks to Jon for installing it on my laptop.
  • Maybe make a video of myself singing my versions of my favorite songs and have them uploaded to Youtube.
  • If I have the spare money, I might go to my dermatologist to have treatment for adult acne.
  • Might take a walk with my best friend Czarina at the Luneta Park. I haven't gone there yet.
How I wish I have money to get me out of here. I want to breathe the fresh air from a province nearby or enjoy the warm breeze at a beach resort. Sigh. I'll be home on March anyway. I'd better save me some money to enjoy my next vacation.

Ladies in Green

On Saturday afternoon, just 2 days ago, Michelle and Quelly were both quite nuisances on my blogging time. I can't help myself but join in to their conversation while they're preparing to get dressed up for their friend's wedding. It's seldom that 3 of us get to chat, so even if I have a lot of things to do online, I somehow helped them get dressed.

When they finally were ready to go, I was awed and got excited about how pretty these ladies looked. I even took pictures of them before they left.

Look how pretty they were!

Nice, eh? Pretty ladies in green dresses.

On Vacation Leave...

My vacation leave is approved for 3 days next week. So I'm actually off for 6 days yet I don't have any plans of going anywhere other than staying in my apartment because I have to save some money. We're moving to the new apartment sometime next week and my brother, Florante, is arriving on the 28th. He's going to look for a job here.

Back to my vacation leave, since I'll just be a home-buddy for 6 days straight, I better think of some diets that work or else I'd gain weight. It would be better if I jog in the mornings too. I hope I won't be stubborn.

Sigh. I'm still anxious about moving out next week. At least I have enough time to get ready.

You Have The Right To Remain Silent!!!

That's on my shirt! Lol! This post is not about the shirt,though... Just an update. :D

Shirt courtesy of Michelle and Jon...:)

After our long wait to get my ISP re-installment settled at PLDT yesterday, Czarina and I headed to the Ayala Land since I really wanted to watch the movie Sherlock Holmes. You can read the movie review here.

I first bought plane tickets for my homecoming on March since Cebu Pacific offered low rates yesterday, so I took advantage of it. I'm finally coming home this March!

We spent some of our time strolling on some nice spots at Greenbelt and Glorrieta since we have to wait for 3 hours before the movie. I was wanting to get a view of the solar eclipse, but haven't because of the high buildings surrounding Ayala Land. We settled to chatting with each other and took some pictures of ourselves.

After the movie, we bought some fruits at SM and headed home.

I love it when we spend this kind of bonding together. My best friend is going through a lot of difficulties lately but she still looked fine. That's what I like about her. My best friend is really tough! And I know that she can surpass all these difficulties that she's going through right now. I'm just here, Gat! How I wish I can be of bigger help, though. Sigh!

Vanity, Vanity...

My colleague, Julie Ann, is getting prettier each day. Her face has become smoother and fresher lately. I have been praising her and tell her how pretty she has become. I have been asking her about the beauty products she's using and see if her beauty regimen is going to work on my face. Lol! I have known what kind of facial wash, moisturizer and tretinoin she's been using but I'm scared to try them all. I'd better consult my dermatologist soon so that I can have my face treated. I've been stressed out lately and can't seem to get enough sleep that's why my pimples are growing back. I better get enough sleep and not worry too much.

Annular Solar Eclipse Today (01/15/10)

It's Annular Solar Eclipse later today!

I have things to do outside later (e.g. pay PLDT installment and asthma test) and my best friend Czarina is going with me. I'm gonna bring my shades so that we can watch the solar eclipse later. The last time this annular eclipse happened was back in 1992 according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). I have memories of that day. I was in grade school and most of us students enjoyed the view of the eclipse with the blue films that we brought to protect our eyes.

Here are the times and places that the solar eclipse will be seen according to PAGASA:
  • Metro Manila, 3:49 to 5:51 p.m., maximum eclipse 4:53 p.m.
  • Calayan Island, 3:45 to 5:58 p.m., maximum 4:56 p.m.
  • Laoag, 3:45 to 5:57 p.m., maximum 5:55 p.m.
  • Tuguegarao, 3:47 to 5:55 p.m., maximum 4:55 p.m.
  • Baguio, 3:46 to 5:54 p.m., maximum 4:54 p.m.
  • San Fernando, Pampanga, 3:47 to 5:52 p.m., maximum 4:54 p.m.
  • Puerto Princesa, Palawan, 3:49 to 5:43 p.m., maximum 4:49 p.m.
  • Lucena City, Quezon, 3:50 to 5:49 p.m., maximum 4:53 p.m.
  • Legazpi City, Albay, 3:55 to 5:46 p.m., maximum 4:54 p.m.
  • Iloilo, 3:56 to 5:42 p.m., maximum 4:52 p.m.
  • Cebu, 3:59 to 5:39 p.m., maximum 4:52 p.m.
  • Zamboanga, 4:01 to 5:32 p.m., maximum 4:49 p.m.
  • Jolo, Sulu, 4 to 5:30 p.m., maximum 4:47 p.m.
  • Davao, 4:09 to 5:28 p.m., maximum 4:50 p.m.
  • General Santos City, 4:11 to 5:25 p.m., maximum 4:49 p.m.
Reports say that we're not supposed to stare at the solar eclipse because we might get blind. So better put shades on to protect your eyes or to get a better view, use the telescope.

Teasing My Colleagues...

I have been such a jerk at work lately. I lose some weight because of being sick and I have been teasing my colleagues about their bellies. I didn't intend to offend anyone of them with my funny remarks. We were just having fun teasing each other. One of the boys said that he's already been on a diet because of me. I wasn't aware that I've been teasing him almost everyday already. Lol! He even said that he'll try some of those bodybuilding supplements so that he'll have a nice bod as soon as possible. That will definitely stop me from teasing him as chubby!

Not TB But WHAT???

Yahoo! I'm TUBERCULOSIS FREE!!! LOL!

BUT...... My doctor said it could be asthma! Awww man! Just when I thought I don't need to worry anymore. When he checked my back and chest with his stethoscope, he heard some whistling, or whatever they call it. I think it was just my phlegm trying to get his attention. He still wanted me to get an asthma test and I had it scheduled tomorrow. Sigh. When will my lungs get healthier again???

Face Prob...

I have done several visits to some facial clinics for months now but my pimples still kept coming back. I have endured the pricking and love the face massages but it seems like the pimples and whiteheads doesn't want to stop yet. Yeah, I admit I have been stressed out lately because of being sickly and really can't have enough sleep. I also don't have natural face cream for beauty regimen, that's why. I better get some of that then and not be stubborn in applying it on my face.

I wish I don't have to do all these because it's causing me to spend some money. Sigh. I'm not born with natural good skin so I don't have a choice,do I? :D

Paranormal Activity - Movie Review

Just at home because of being sick. Good thing I bought DVD's so Wela and I could watch some nice movies that we missed on the theaters.

Earlier, we were watching Paranormal Activity. It was about a couple - Katie and Micah who's been living together for three years. Katie disclosed to Micah that she's been haunted by an entity since she was 8. The latter is kind of skeptical about it so he bought a video camera to film whatever this entity does to them. Katie talked with her psychic who deals with ghosts and was told that they should call a demonologist since the psychic cannot deal with the entity that is in their household. The stubborn Micah tried to fix it on his own until it got worst.

It was a different kind of scary movie. Wela and I watched it with the lights open because we don't want to get scared that much! Lol! It was great, really. And kind of realistic. See for yourself!!!

Lame Excuses...

Whenever I get sick, my appetite to eat decreases a little bit. I lose few pounds and look like I'm taking some diet supplement when I don't. I'm just sick, you know. I bet most of us are like that. But when I get better, my eating habit also gets back to normal. And then I'll get that big tummy back and will have a hard time losing it. Duh! Why can't I just be slimmer and sexier even if I eat a lot? LOL! My metabolism really slowed down as I grow older. Better get myself back to exercises. I wish I have a friend who could go with me so that I won't get bored. :D Just one of my lame excuses!

I Hate Being Sick!!!

I'm sick again. I had flu the previous weeks and now came down to dry cough. I didn't have fever, which was good but my disturbing cough is really embarrassing. I don't want to incur absences at work so despite being anxious about my cough, I still did go to work this week. I bet my colleagues were already irritated with my cough. What can I do? I can't help but bark like a dog at work! I'm glad it was our last day of work week yesterday. I was able to get a lot of sleep last night.

I'm tired of taking medicines but I don't have a choice. The taste of medicines suck! I'll get the result of my x-ray later today. I'm hoping it won't be bad news. I hope it's not tuberculosis again. Geez! Or else, it's another 6 months or so of medicine intake.

I hate being sick! It really sucks!

To Have Bulging Muscles in 3 Months???:D

Last week, Michelle,Quelly and I met up with Michelle's fiance Jon and his gym instructor friend, nah! I forgot his name! LOL! Anyways, this friend of Jon's has fine bod. Well, it's because of his profession, of course. He was able to talk Jon out of working out. Jon was so static about having bulging muscles and getting sexy and all. He even teased us about our bellies. All three of us girls were giving him poker faces already. We'll see then. Or else he'd better get himself some best muscle building supplements if he doesn't get a gorgeous bod in 3 months.

I always plan to workout but I don't have enough money. I have a lot of more important things to spend my money at. Workout isn't on top of my list yet. But I'm still hoping I'd be able to afford enrolling myself in a gym this year.

Be Like Quelly...

Racquel, whom we visited last week doesn't only own an auto supply store but also has a jeepney business. She doesn't sell jeepneys. She just have a driver rent it and make rounds routing some parts of Quezon City. She and her husband make a good deal of money out of it. Yet my friend still prefer to be firm on handling their money. She's not the type who buys whatever and whenever she wanted even if she can afford to do so. We tease her sometimes as being close-fisted but she's really just don't want to put her money to waste. She prefer buying stuffs on sale. I bet she also found the cheapest car insurance for her jeepneys and cars they own.

I really look up to her when it comes to making decisions and being gumptious on handling her businesses. I hope someday I can also have my own business and be as industrious as Quelly. :D That's a long time to look forward to.

A Day With Quelly

Michelle and I went to visit a very good friend of ours, Racquel, in Quezon City the other day. I haven't seen her for a while and have been hanging up on her each time she invites me to go to her house. I finally had the time so I decided to go with Michelle.

Racquel was Michelle's childhood friend. She's a family friend actually. She used to live with me and Michelle here in our apartment before she got married. She's down to earth and really fun to be with. A real friend to me and Michelle. She's one of the most hardworking and intelligent person I knew. She now owns a business that's why when Michelle and I ask her out, she always have the reason to not go because she can't leave her store. So we don't have a choice but to travel to her faraway kingdom! LOL!

Here are some of the photos taken with her. Michelle and I really had fun in her home.

Pretty girls, eh?

Spot the difference??? nyahahaha!

I Wish I Wasn't Sick

About to move out but I haven't even gone to my internet provider's business office to inform them to get my internet and phone transferred to my new address. This move out is really a hassle, you know. I'm worried that I won't be able to do my dropping chores because of not having internet connection for few days or more. I'm planning to go tomorrow. I can't do it today since I'd go to the doctor today because of my sickness. Sigh!

My landlady on the new address already cleaned the room and changed the floor linoleum since I can't afford to buy copper tile flooring for it yet. Gotta save a lot of money for that. Lol! My brother, Florante, is going to move in with me soon. He's going to look for job here in Manila.

A lot is really happening lately. I wish I wasn't sick.

Moving Out Soon...

Lowela and I are moving out of the apartment soon. We found a cheaper apartment in Pasay and are planning to move next week or so. The price is half of what we're paying right now. It will definitely help us save money. I am just bothered about my internet provider. I also need to have it installed to the new apartment and it's gonna cost me a lot. Sigh. I have to wait for weeks to get it installed. I just hope my Globe Tattoo broadband will work in the new apartment. I'm hoping my DSL gets installed sooner than expected, though.

Thinking about our move to the new apartment stresses me out but ironically, I'm quite excited about it. My colleague, Joanna, is going to move in with me. She's going to be an addition to the characters on this blog for sure. :D

Stubborn and Voracious Me!

The previous month is the season when most of us loved to eat. Because of the occasions (i.e. Christmas and New year celebrations) we tend to eat a lot. Most of the people in the office actually gained weight. I, myself, isn't an exception. I stayed at Czarina's apartment most of my weekends and she cooked delicious meals. I couldn't help myself but eat. Lol!

Now I have to lose weight for my benefit. I was thinking about going to the gym but since my brother is going to move here on February, I have to watch my budget. So going to the gym won't be an option for now. I am browsing through some adipex reviews online to know more about the product. It's either that or try healthy dieting.

This is what I get for being stubborn and voracious. :D
