3rd Placer And A Gig! :D

Our team won the 3rd place on the Valentine's Music Video Contest at work! I was really surprised that we were one of the winners! I'm glad our entry was picked though! Now we have P25,000 worth of team building fund! Yahooooo!!!

What surprised me more was when my supervisor called me and informed me that HR Department sent her an email saying that they liked my version of the song "Leaving On A Jet Plane". I was invited to sing at our Site Manager's farewell party tonight. I accepted the invitation without hesitation. I asked my colleague, Albert to play with me tonight since I don't have enough songs in mind. He'll be playing the guitar and sing songs too.

We haven't practised our songs yet. We just practised by ourselves and will just meet up later before the show starts. I'm a bit nervous! I hope I won't have butterflies in my stomach tonight!

Worked Out With Friends...

Joanna and I were invited by Julie's husband as guests at the Slimmer's World Gym. We gladly took the invitation since we were given 3 free sessions to workout at the gym.

The instructor who assisted us was kind. She helped out with the exercise equipments and gave us some advices about proper workout. At the end of our session at the gym, she told us about the cost of the enrollment at the gym. I was kind of interested but I have to consider my priorities.

We're going to be back for our 2 more free sessions, anyway. Thanks Julie and Pao for the treat!

Watched Valentine's Day With Czarina

Czarina and I watched Valentine's Day yesterday instead of Nicholas Spark's Dear John because we decided not to cry on a movie.

Valentine's Day is a star-studded film which topped the box-office since it premiered in time for Valentine's Day.

Here are the casts:

The movie was about different people's experience on a Valentine's Day. Most part, lovers in the film had a happy ending, others didn't and ended up loveless. Some found love unexpectedly and some just realize that love was just right in front of them after all. Just like the best-friends-turned-lovers in the movie (Kutcher and Garner). There were young lovers like the 2 famous Taylors. And the surprising twists in the story is really unforgettable! LOL!

The"L-O-V-E" month hasn't ended yet. Not too late to see the movie for those who haven't seen it yet!

Another Day With Czarina

Me and my best friend Czarina was jus done watching the movie Valentine's Day. It's a star-studded film which obviously talks about love. :D I'll be posting more about the movie later on.

Anyways, we enjoyed the film. There were a bunch of stunning actresses and gorgeous men with sexy abs and all, I think they take muscle supplements aside from going to the gym. Nice twists and surprises in the movie. It was really fun.

PLDT Rant...

It's over a month now of not having internet at home. It's really agonizing and I have been too patient of PLDT already. I get upset whenever I see their commercials on TV about how fast they can get their line installed. Joanna often teases me whenever she sees the commercial. I just give her the poker face.

My colleague just applied for the service and his internet is now installed. What the heck are these people from PLDT doing? I just don't have time to go to their business office to nag about how their service sucks! Grrr! They're really getting into my nerves! I better stop getting upset too often or else I will have an early visit to www.wrinkleeyecream.net.

I better shake this negative aura off!!! Sigh!

Happy Birthday Xernan!

One of my colleagues celebrated his birthday yesterday. His name is Xernan, a funny friend who really love hearing himself talk! LOL! But we love that talkative part of him. And noone disagrees if he says he looked like the gorgeous Enchong Dee! hahaha!

We went to his place where he prepared delicious pancit Malabon and piche2x for us and of course, beer for the boys.

We had fun chatting and joking around at his place. Me, Joanna and some colleagues left ahead of the others since we still have errands to do yesterday.

All in all we had fun!

Free Gym Session With Friends

A colleague of mine is conscious about her bod. She says that no matter what she does (e.g. dieting, going to the gym) she's having a hard time slimming down. She once told me about colon cleansing diet, that she's going to try and see if it's going to work for her. I just hope she's going to be successful this time. She have already spent too much money and effort just to trim down.

I was just asked by another colleague to go to the gym with her tomorrow. She said it's a free session for me and Joanna. I gladly said yes to her invitation since it's for free. I'm pretty sure though that the gym instructor will do his best to make us sign up for whatever program is suited for us. Talking about salesmanship. I have to watch my budget this year though. Going to the gym won't be a bad idea anyway! :D

Phishing Email???

This email message is freaking me out!

I've been receiving this email for weeks now and it's already driving me nuts! I thought they will get tired of sending this since I never replied. I'm afraid they're just phishing for my yahoo info. Now I'm having second thoughts. I don't want my yahoo account to be deleted because I have almost all my online stuffs linked to it!

Did anyone of you receive this kind of email? Lainy said it's just some kind of a scam. Sigh. I'm not really sure if this email is legitimate. I need help. :(

The Result Of Not Taking Vitamins...

Just a week of not taking vitamin C, I am now suffering from flu. My body resistance have really dropped and whenever I fail to take Vitamin C, I always get sick. I won't wait this time for this flu to get worst. I'm going to buy medicines and Vitamins as soon as I get out here from the office. This is what I get for not taking my daily dose of vitamins. Sigh. I should take it daily like how pregnant women take their prenatal vitamins. LOL!

I brought my laptop again here at work to be able to work on my blogs. I still don't have news about when my DSL gets installed which is really frustrating. Nah! I'm not going to think too much about it because the more disappointed I get. :)

My cousin Lainy just recommended a medicine for my flu. Thanks Te, I'll buy one later. I hope this flu won't take it's toll on me. I can't be sick. Not yet! :D

PBB Double Up Big Night Tonight!

My favorite TV show Pinoy Big Brother Double Up is about to end since tonight is THE BIG NIGHT! Fans and viewers of the show has been looking forward to tonight's big event in the Big Brother House! Fans of the Big 5 - Tibo, Paul Jake, Johan, Melissa and Jason has already been casting their votes.

According to the latest news about the vote count for the BIG winner, Paul Jake who has the most intimidating character amongst the housemates has the most number of votes. It looks like Cebuanos where up to their feet to support their kababayan. I bet Paul Jake's competitive character placed him to the top. Yet, we're still not sure if this vote count is going to change. Melason fans also would want Melay or Jason to win, won't they?

Whatever happens tonight, this 5 housemates are already winners! They have brought entertainment to our primetime. I just hope they will not end up like those who won in the past seasons of PBB who aren't seen on TV anymore. They should work harder once their out of the PBB house.

Hectic Saturday...

Time is up for blogging! Got to go home, get some sleep and apply my face cream! LOL!

I will be going to Church later this evening. Saturday is kind of a hectic day for me since it's Church day. So most of the time, I'm sleepy at work on Sunday shifts. Hopefully we won't receive too much calls tomorrow.

I will be watching The Big Night for Pinoy Big Brother Double Up tonight. :D I won't have enough sleep for sure! I'm looking forward to each of the Big 5's performance. I'm excited about Melissa and Jason's production! I'm sure it's going to be entertaining!

Watch Out For Music Monday!

I still haven't gone home yet. I decided to stay here at the office, supposed to sleep at the sleeping quarters here but decided to blog since I brought my laptop with me. My Globe Tattoo broadband connection is fairly faster here. Unlike when at home, I can't connect online at all. I hope they'll allow me to bring my laptop here often.

We just submitted the music video today. I'm not in high hopes of winning the contest here at work for Valentine's. At least we did an effort to join. That for me is already satisfactory. I had fun when we did the video.

I might post it as my Music Monday next week. It was just a simple video but I hope you guys will like it. Watch out for the music video on Monday then!

Summer Time, Fun Time!!!

It's Summer time, it's fun time!

I'm going to start my summer fun when I go home in our province this March. There will be some beach adventures for sure so I better watch my diet and get rid of stomach fat or else I won't be comfortable wearing my swim wears! LOL!

When I get home, I'm also going to enjoy jamming with Kuerdas Band! Geez! I'm really so excited. I will get to spend time with my family!

Just a piece of advise to everyone especially to those who live in the tropical Philippines, please don't dehydrate yourselves. Summer won't be fun if we get sick.

Summer Is In The Air!

The weather has been too hot lately. Most of the time I just wanted to be at home rather than go out because of the warm weather. Whenever I get struck by the sun, I felt like I'm being burnt by ultraviolet rays! I'm over-exaggerating! LOL! Sometimes I feel that way, though, seriously!

The humidity and warmth of the season here in the Philippines reminds me that Summer is indeed in the air! Sigh! I really don't like summer that much unless I get to go to the beach or go to Baguio City to escape the heat of the sun once in a while. If only I have that much money! LOL!

Well, I just hope this summer season is going to be fun this year. I don't want it to be boring so I better plan for my summer getaways!

My brother still hasn't decided on what career path to take. I was just waiting for him to decide whether he wanted to come and work here in Manila. He told me that the oath taking for passing the Nursing Board Exam is going to happen on March 14 this year. I was glad he told me about the date already. I'm gonna be there when he take his oath as a Nurse then!

If I were to asked, I'd rather have my brother practice his profession or get some kind of healthcare jobs. Any job that's in line with his profession. He worked so hard to become a Registered Nurse. I don't want him to put all that he learned in school to waste by just working in a call center.

But it's his decision that's going to prevail. Whatever he wanted to do, I'm just here to support him. :D

Sleeping Beauty Syndrome

Klein-Levin Syndrome or KLS is a rare syndrome that mostly happens to male. But this time, this 15-year-old pretty girl have this kind of disorder. She was known to be the real-life sleeping beauty. She sleep not just for hours but for days.

I first heard about this disorder through my colleague who graduated as a nurse. He said he has a friend who has KLS. There was a time that they were walking and talking and soon found out that his friend is already sleeping on the street. Scary, isn't it?

According to studies, when a person who has this syndrome wakes up, he/she is disoriented, lethargic and out of focus.

The cause of KLS in not known and there is also no specific treatment.

Lucky Dionesia!

Manny Pacquiao's mom, Dionesia Pacquiao had taken herself to center-stage every once in a while especially every time his son wins a game. We have endured seeing her on TV making her dance "stunts" few months ago which is of course graced by the 2 competing TV stations here in the Philippines. She's more than 60 yrs old now yet she still can dance! :D And since they've got a lot of money to spend, she's one of Vicky Belo's clients and surely was given an effective anti aging product. She did look presentable and looked younger than her age in all fairness to her.

She's lucky to have a son like Manny Pacquiao! :D

Taping At Villamor Air Base

It was indeed a long day! It was so hot at Villamor Air Base earlier when we did the taping of the music video. I can still feel the sunburn on my face. I had fun during the shooting though!

Joann, Sunday, our Boss and I met up at Villamor Air Base at around 9am. We went directly to the Air Base museum. It was perfect for the song that we planned for the video. Since the contest required us to get our concepts from Hollywood flicks, we came up to making the video like that of Armageddon, not with astronauts though since we can't afford that. Just a love story about a pilot and an ordinary girl. Hence the song, "Leaving On A Jet Plane" was agreed for the music video.

I left Joann and Sunday in the apartment to do the editing so I can do my online chores here at the internet cafe. Yeah, my DSL isn't installed yet.

Quick Post At SM Mall Of Asia

When my team mates at work agreed to join the contest in making a music video and asked me to do the song, I got anxious. I just had my facial session that day for treatment for acne, and I got marks of the pricking on my face yet. I told them that when we shoot for the music video, they should not focus on my face. LOL! I can't say no since they counted on me. Thank God they had my other team mates act like lovers in the video. The camera wasn't focused that much on my face! :D

We actually did the taping earlier today. It was fun! I'm at SM Mall Of Asia right now taking advantage of the free WiFi. Won't be too long here though since my laptop battery will get empty soon! Sigh! Just a quick post!

Out To Shoot For Music Video

Our team at work decided to join the contest which is sponsored by our company for Valentine's Day. The contest is about making a music video from a soundtrack of a Hollywood flick. I am asked to sing the song for the music video.

We're going to shoot for the video today. I hope we can finish taping earlier today so I can go back to blogging. I have lots of things to accomplish especially on my online assignments.

Got to go! It's going to be a long day! Sigh! I hope we'll have fun though!

No Pain, No Gain...

I had pimple outbreak on my face again lately. I was too stubborn to get back into doing facial sessions in one of the derma clinics that I used to frequent. I have been too busy lately, that's why. Besides, I hate the pricking part of the facial treatment but that's part of vanity. As the old cliche goes, "no pain, no gain". The ladies in the clinic know very well how to remove blackheads and help me get rid of those annoying pimples. They advised me to make the facial session part of my schedule in a month so that I won't have pimple outbreak like what I did have when I went to the clinic 4 days ago. I better take their advise.

Feljun And Ilen Wedding...

One of our cousins, Feljun Razo (we fondly call him Boying) tied the knot with the love of his life, Ilen Agapay last month, January 26. The wedding was held in Davao City.


Fate brought them together. According to Lainy, they were childhood friends, both live in the same town, went to the same school, graduated with same course, and goes to the same church but they fell in love with each other when their paths crossed just nine months ago. They were indeed destined to be together.

Michelle and I were not there to witness the special occasion so we just contented ourselves in viewing photos posted in Facebook by his sister, Yola and Lainy. Thanks girls for the beautiful photos!
Next wedding this year will be Michelle's! And coming shortly will be Lainy's. Right Te? LOL!

Can't Wait To Be Back Home...

I was browsing Lainy's recent photos particularly the most recent family occasion which is our cousin's wedding. A lot of relatives came except me and Michelle. My Mom out stood everyone in the occasion. She's actually shining and shimmering because she wore gold! LOL! If I would have known, I should have given her an advice on what to wear. She looks pretty in gold though! :D

My Mom gained weight. She's really stubborn when it comes to her diet. Whenever I remind her about her diet, she will just say that she can't help her appetite. She really love to eat. She might end up doing cholesterol medications if she won't discipline herself. Sigh. I'm supposed to be there with her so that I can help her watch her diet.

Internet Rant...

I'm back to internet cafes! Sigh!

I went to PLDT business center yesterday to follow up on my DSL and phone transfer. Its been weeks since I've asked them about the transfer of service to the new apartment. I have waited for more than 2 weeks now but no technician showed up. Customer service representatives over the phone told me different alibis.

So I decided to go to their business office to see what's actually going on. Only to find out that my request wasn't processed! You can just imagine how frustrated I was when I was talking to the lady on the desk. She was all apologetic but her apologies can't hide the fact that they have very poor customer service. Why did none of those people I spoke with over the phone told me what really happened to my request? They just told me that it was still being processed when nothing was actually done! She told me she had the issue escalated to their boss and that she's going to get it processed personally. I told her that's the same thing the first woman who worked on my request told me! I was really irritated yesterday! I somehow controlled my temper because the represented I was talking to was pregnant. I think she's kind but I was just annoyed with what happened. I think she understood my frustration. I just hope my DSL and phone installation gets done ASAP!

Meanwhile I'll make use of this internet cafe which is a few blocks away from the apartment. My Globe Tattoo is too slow. Most of the time it doesn't connect. Longer SIGH!

I apologize for this post. I'm just agitated for not being online often in the convenience of my home. I also apologize to those EC droppers whom I haven't visited back. I'll try to make it up to you guys!

New Apartment, New Roommate...

I haven't done too much on my off but to do some household chores in the new apartment. It's actually just a studio type room which doesn't have floor tiles yet. It's pretty much simple. I took advantage of it because of the cheap rent. I didn't even worry about advance payments when we got the room. It will definitely help me save some extra cash.

My roommate is Joanna who's also my colleague. She's years younger than I am. I actually got myself a younger sister! Lol! She used to go home everyday to a nearby province, Bulacan - which is a 2-hour ride to and from work. It's tiring and costly for her. So I invited her as soon as I planned to move to the new apartment. She gladly took my invitation. Lowela lives in the same apartment but she's on a different room with her friend.

Most of the time the place is quiet especially when the ladies on the next room aren't around. They're not Lowela and her friend. Their a bunch of bully-looking conceited ladies. Good thing their not home a lot because it makes mine and Joanna's lives worthwhile! LOL!

New Apartment and Congratulations Bro!!!

Moving has never been easy! That's the least I can say! I'm finally settled to my new home! Whew! What a relief! And it will take sometime for me to try moving out AGAIN! LOL! It's really exhausting but thank God I'm done cleaning and setting up my new HOME!

My DSL connection isn't installed yet so I'm being patient with my GLOBE Tattoo broadband which is really slooooowwww! Grrr! Enough with my rantings!

I just want you all to know that I'm still here! I already miss my hi-speed internet. I hope my DSL gets connected soon so I can go back to being online often.

And since I'm back, I have some good news to share! My brother, FLORANTE CRUZ, is now a REGISTERED NURSE!!! He took his 3rd try for the exam sometime in November and he is finally included in the list of Board Passers!!! CONGRATULATIONS brother dear!!!

My brother and his family

Our cousin, Mark, texted me last night and told me about the good news! I was so happy about it! My family in fact is grateful and my Aunts have been teasing my Mom for a treat to celebrate for my brother's success. We will be doing the celebration when I come home this March on my Mom's birthday.

Although I'm a bit stressed out at work, there are still lots of reasons to not fret but be grateful to Almighty God for all the good things that's happening:

• Thank God I'm in a new apartment which is just behind our worship temple - I can talk to Him more often and can even perform some duties in the Church on my free time.
  
• I was able to move to a cheaper apartment - I will be able to save extra money.
• He answered our prayers - letting our brother pass the board exam.
• Making me feel blessed despite some adversities in life.

All to God's glory and honor!
