Joy's Birthday Treat!

After an exhausting day at work a couple of days ago, me and my colleagues decided to eat out at Shakey's Pizza parlor in Glorrietta Mall. Joy, one of my team mates just celebrated her birthday last Saturday. Since a friend of ours kept prodding her about a treat, she did give us one!

Here are some of the photos:

The Yummy Treat....

The birthday girl, Joy and I

The Team!

Joy is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She definitely live up to her name. :D She's intelligent and full of wit. She makes sure that we brush off the negative vibe at work by making funny jokes with us. She always sees good in people even though everyone thinks that there's none anymore.

I really admire this friend of mine. I'm just so lucky to have met her and become friends with her!

Happy birthday Joy! May God continue to bless you and may you continue to be a blessing to everyone. Love ya, friend!!!

A Bum For A Day...:D

There are things that I need to do today but I don't feel like doing them. Like doing my laundry, buy some groceries, go to the bank. Sigh. Just a lot of things that I need to accomplish. I feel lazy and I want to be a bum for a day. :D I would have finished doing my chores outside if I have my own car which at least has cheap auto insurance to help me accomplish my tasks for the day. Nah! Just a thought. I still might do them later anyways if I get bored.

I think I need a break after 4 days of getting stressed out at work. Stress is manifesting all over my face now. I'm talking about pimples - and I hate them! I'm getting all the more anxious! I better get enough sleep and try not to get overly stressed out.

EXCUSES - Music Monday

Me and my cousins together with Heart Gel made this video during my vacation in GenSan. This is my entry for Music Monday. Wow! It's been a while since I posted my last entry for MM.

This song is called EXCUSES - a song composed by my cousin JaySon of Kuerdas Band who plays the guitar in the video. The one singing is Heart Gel, JaySon's girlfriend. Mark, the lead vocalist of Kuerdas Band is also in the video.

I also would like you all to meet the cute and famous puppy at Scotty's Princess' blog, EWOKS!

I enjoyed doing this video! I miss you guys!!!

Update That Resume!!!

Things are getting really rough at work. It feels like there are a lot of negative vibes in there. My room mate, Joanna already resigned yesterday. Most of our team mates were saddened by her decision but not me. In fact, I'm impressed in how she could make up her mind that easily and quickly. She didn't think twice about resigning at all.

I'm happy for her because she's free of the stress and negativity now. Of course, she's gotten herself into something which I'm not ready to discuss in this blog yet. But she's in a better situation. I wish I could make decisions as quickly as she did. I don't know why, but I have that greater urge within me that's thinking about resigning too. I just have to find a new job that will compensate me better. I can't just loose my job without anywhere else to go yet. I have bills to pay and my stomach to fill. I won't be able to process a loan for the house that my Mom was planning if I'm jobless. Even websites like www.goodsamfinancecenter.com will decline my application if they learn that I'm unemployed.

I better get ready with my resume. I haven't updated it yet. That's the problem with me. I am so stubborn when it comes to doing paper works. I better make up my mind or get stuck with an incompetent boss and not have career growth at all.

Thanks So Much Dear Cuz!

Lainy was sooo busy when I was back in GenSan. Until now, she's in charge in facilitating the training for the upcoming election. She actually lives in the hotel for weeks now just to make sure that the training is going to run as smoothly as possible.

I was really flattered because despite her very busy schedule at work, she still was able to take time to bond with me. You really love me, Te, don't you? LOL!

She helped out with planning for my Mom's birthday bash. She was the one who suggested Grab-A-Crab as the venue for the celebration. We were able to chat at one of the nicest coffee shops in town.

As busy as she can be, she still had time to play badminton, her new sport! I played with her one time and had fun with friends. I was able to somehow exercise but I'm still fat! LOL! I think I have to resort to xenadrine rfa x to lose weight fast!

I also was able to play with co-bloggers - Ate Vilma and Lolli. I had fun!

Lainy was also there to cheer when I jammed with Kuerdas Band! One of my most awaited part of my vacation is to be able to sing with Kuerdas again!

What was missing on that vacation was an out-of-town getaway to Davao with family friends! That's not possible since Lainy can't take a time off at work. Her presence is badly needed there! :D

I really didn't have enough bonding time with Lainy during my vacation. But since she's going to be on leave this coming June, she's actually going away with Ate Vilma to tour some other places in Asia without me, I am expecting her to drop by here in Manila before their flight abroad.

I am so looking forward to that, Ate! See you soon!!!

A Visit To My Alma Mater

I had the chance to set foot on my Alma Mater - Notre Dame of Marbel University during my recent homecoming. It was fun! And it brought back great memories during my college days. There were changes, like new buildings, staffs, school administrators and of course unfamiliar faces. I've seen old friends too but just a few of them. My friend Denden was the one who accompanied me. Our purpose was to get our yearbook.

Denden and I were friends since college. We're always mistaken as twins or siblings since we became friends. A lot of people say we look identical. Well, all I know is both of us look pretty, I could just agree to that! LOL!

Here are some of the photos taken during our visit at the university:

Getting our receipt for the yearbook

It's a catholic school. That's one of their saints...

Obviously, I'm an Alumni..:D

That's Denden...

I had so much fun during the visit! Memories kept flashing back when I was there. Most of my college friends were already married. I haven't seen them since they have to take care of their babies. Yeah, my timing wasn't right. I hope to see them on my next visit.

Sleepy Head...

Another beautiful morning to everyone!!!

I've had more than 8 hours of sleep again! I am so taking advantage of my day off. I have to because I deprived myself of sleep since my vacation in GenSan. This will help to get rid of dark circles around eyes.

I planned to go to the gym to workout but then being stubborn struck me! LOL! I have things to accomplish online, that's why. The workout is just a free session that's why I'm not so into it yet. If I enroll myself to the gym, I will definitely not waste a day work my butt out to become sexy! :D

When I'm done with my online chores, I might go back to sleep. The weather is cloudy and I think the rain is about to pour down. It makes me feel more sleepy. :D

Unpredictable Weather...

I was quite surprised with the weather lately here in Manila. It wasn't as hot and as humid as how it is in Mindanao. There are also no power outages here. I am thankful about it, though. I won't have to worry about not being able to finish my internet chores on time.

We're experiencing rain showers sometimes and that added up to my surprise. The weather is really unpredictable.

According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) tropical depression is spotted 1,000 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar.

We'll expecting some rain showers soon then. Let's be ready with our umbrellas when we get out especially those who lives in Luzon.

A Sister's Concern...

When I was back home, I was able to chat with my brothers. I only have 2 siblings, Florante who's a year younger than me, and Alex who's 2 years older than me.

Florante is the one who passed the Nursing Board Exam recently and already have his own family. Now being a Registered Nurse, he was able to find a job at a hospital in GenSan. He's got bigger plans like going abroad to better provide for his family. I hope he can make that dream come true.

I haven't talked a lot about my older brother, Alex, here in my blog. It's because we're really not that close. Even when I went home, we really didn't have a long chat. There are a lot of things that we don't agree about. We fight most of the time since we were young. So we'd rather be distant with each other than be together and argue.

During one of our short encounters, I learned that he's applying for a job as a policeman. Like the usual, I had some comments that he didn't like. The comments are not to make him feel bad. I was just concerned about his health condition. He's still undergoing hypertension treatments. Aside from that, he's got a dislocated joint on his knee which also needed treatment. He was limping during the time we talked. He said he was doing tedious exercises to prepare himself for the physical exams and that it was just muscle pain that he's feeling. I told him that he maybe needed one for joint pain relief. I was just annoyed because he doesn't listen at all. My cousins and my Mom already gave him pieces of advice but it seems like he already made up his mind. I hope he won't be able to make it, though. I don't want him to get hurt, honestly.

I pity my brother because he doesn't really know what he wanted in his life. I think he's just doing this to make something out of himself. To prove to everyone and to my Mom that he can be somebody. He must have been tired of dealing with our Mom. I want him to succeed but not by being a policeman. He will just get hurt if he passed. I hope he could find some other job that won't risk his life.

It's My Day Off From Work!:D

Thank God it's my day off from work! It's going to be 3 days of not having to deal with the TYRANT! LOL!

Me and my colleagues continue to do well on our job despite the tension that's taking place. Most of us were already thinking about applying for job to a different company. I really don't know what's going to happen next. All I know is I'm not happy at work anymore.

Duh! I rant too much about work again! What the heck??? It's my off! I should enjoy this day and the next couple of days! It's time to sit back, relax and blog-blog-blog! I do not have plans of going out at all, unless I change my mind! :D

What do you guys do when it's your day off?

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone!

A Night With My Ex...

I went out with my friend Den2x last week in Koronadal City which is about an hour ride from General Santos City. We left GenSan after my Mom's birthday bash at Grab-A-Crab. My purpose of going there was to get my yearbook at our Alma Mater - Notre Dame of Marbel University. It has already been more than five years since I set my foot at the University. I was excited by then.

What added to my excitement was an invitation to meet up with my ex-boyfriend, Maynard. I'm not at all into him since both of us already have different priorities. It was Den2x, him and I who were best friends back in college. It's our first time to see each other again for more than five years. I also know for a fact that the meeting won't bring up the old flame since Maynard is in love with his current girlfriend.

Anyway, when we were on our way to meeting up with him, I was kind of anxious about how I looked! LOL! I got tiny pimples all over my face. I thought to myself, I should have taken some of those acne pills if I should have known! :D

I was expecting the same old Maynard who's cocky and a drunkard! Well, I actually was surprised with how matured he have become. His life as a seaman might have taught him to become a real man! LOL! I'm really impressed!

All three of us had fun chatting. He brought us back to places that had good memories of our college days. The past that was brought up was just the friendship we had. We even did not bother to mention our "past" which is better. I am just happy of what he turned out into. I hope he would become even more successful and be happily married to the love of his life.

We're friends although I wonder why we both didn't exchange numbers at all! LOL! We are sending messages with each other through Den2x. It's better that way, I guess. :D

Tyranny at Work

I was back to work today. I felt groggy and really sleepy because of lack of sleep for 2 days in GenSan. When I arrived on my apartment yesterday, I still have to clean the room and put my stuffs back in my closet. I went to church last night so that meant I didn't have enough sleep before going to work. I felt like I got a hangover from my vacation.

My first call at work was a disaster. It was one of those unfortunate calls where the customer is so ready to take his anger out on you because of unsatisfactory service. Even if it wasn't your fault that they're having issues, they won't even accept your apology. LOL! Some people are just so hard to please even if you try to explain to them how the process works. Sigh! I'm just glad I won't have to deal with them face to face. I'm still lucky, aren't I? :D

My colleagues and I were a bit tensed because of some issues at work. A lot of our team mates were suspended because of breaking some house rules according to our boss who doesn't have enough proof that they really did something wrong. Those that are left in the team are getting paranoid of getting kicked out of work. I just hope it won't happen anymore. Or else we will be finding other ways to fix it, or end up finding job from a different company.

I'm already getting discouraged on what's going on at work. I won't have career growth if my own supervisor doesn't trust me on my job and will continue to pull me down. She has become a tyrant, more than willing to use her power to destroy the people who doesn't like her. Yeah, I know I am biased. It's just not right. My friends who work so hard were treated like thieves. Their badges were taken from them and they were also not allowed on the company premises. I hope my friends will win this case though.

Vacation Is Over...

I'm at the airport right now, waiting for my flight back to Manila. I'm so sleepy. I went out last night and jammed with Kuerdas band on their gig. I also met up with musician friends, Jenny and Gerri who also jammed with us. I really had a great time last night and made the most out of it since it's going to take a while for my next vacation here.

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get settled back in Manila. I'm exhausted and I really feel fat since me and my family spent most of our time eating out! Sigh! I gained more weight. LOL! Might as well get one of those fda approved diet pills!

My 10-day vacation is over! I actually still didn't get enough of it. 10 days is such a short time. How I wish I can extend it. Sigh! I'll be back to reality once again. It's going to be all work, less fun and back to routine life - boring life! :D

I'm glad I was able to spend time with my family and friends, though. I wish it was just a bit longer! :D

My Mom's 63rd Birthday...

I haven't been online because of the outages going on around here. Although I went to some places to visit friends. And when I'm home, we don't have internet connection and my broadband tattoo doesn't have connection at home either. So I needed stay at Lainy's house to get connected to the internet.

Anyway, let me update you with how my Mom's birthday party turned out. It went well. On March 13th, I bought her a birthday cake for her 63rd birthday. Aunt Rose grilled fish for her and my cousin Jay Son made "fish kinilaw" for our lunch which I really liked!

Me and my Mom went to buy her outfit after wards for my brother's oath-taking which was held the next day. It was the same day that we all agreed to celebrate for her birthday.

We went to the mall. We bickered a lot like we used to do. We spent hours just finding the best outfit for her. It was really exhausting. I even lost her in the mall. Since she doesn't have a phone because she doesn't know how to use one, I have to ask at the paging counter to call her name out loud in the mall. I don't know. Most of the time, I can't stand my Mom's attitude. She's so noisy, I'm not. I'm the kind who wanted a calm and peaceful environment, she's not. Sigh. She always have something bad to say about things and people, worries a lot, quarrels almost all the people around her even her sisters and us - her children. She's tactless. She doesn't mind if she hurts someone else's feelings. She don't want to be reprimanded because she thinks she's right. Sigh. I have no choice. She's my Mom. I can't do anything about it.

Anyway, we were able to buy her outfit. She looked pretty on it. I was the one who did her make up. The oath-taking took place from 7am til 12 noon of March 14. It was the same day that Manny Pacquiao fought with Joshua Clottey so we expected that our visitors will not come on time. They have to watch the fight first. It was partly a late "lunch out" at Grab A Crab. It was Lainy who suggested the place. The place was nice and cozy and the food was great!

My Mom's sisters and some relatives were the ones who came and celebrated with us. I had fun chatting with my Aunts and cousins and my adorable nephew and nieces.

I'm not exactly sure though if my Mom had a good time back then. I hope she did.

Happy birthday Nanay! I love you and I will always go home to you despite our differences! I hope I can make you proud and happy some day.

Discuss Home Building With Mom...

I still haven't had the chance to check out the piece of land that my Mom bought for me and her. The lot were she wanted us to build a house at. We haven't even discussed the design for the house, haven't decided if we still have to put exterior shutters to make it look nice. I haven't spoken to her after her birthday party because I went with my friend. We left for Marbel in the evening.

We will be talking about it later if we don't quarrel. I'll go home to her so that we can make final decisions about the house. We have to talk about finances which I think she will be so cautious about. That's my problem with her ever since I was in school. It was so hard for her to spend money even if it's beneficial for her. I bet we'll argue a lot about it later tonight. Well, what's new? It wouldn't be normal if we don't fight. :D

Home Sweet Home!

I'm home, finally!

I arrived at the Tambler Airport yesterday at around 2 in the afternoon. Few minutes later, Ate Nimfa and Mark came to fetch me. It's a nice feeling to be back in my hometown. It was too humid yesterday, which is the normal temperature in GenSan. I was glad chitchatting with Ate Nimfa and Mark in the car.

We went straight to Lainy's home since I don't know were to look for my Mom, as usual. :D She doesn't have a phone becuase she don't want to learn how to use it. So I have to ask several people yet my Mom's whereabouts because I don't want to go to our house and find out that she's not there.

I stayed at Lainy's house a few hours. Chatted with Jayson and my brother, Florante. I had the chance to play with their cute puppy, Ewoks. He's really adorable by the way. I'll be posting some pics with him sometime. Lainy and Aunt Rose were still at work.

I went home when our neighbor texted me that my Mom is at home already. That was about 30 minutes ride from GenSan. I'm just so happy to be back home.

I'm doing this blog while waiting for my Mom to get ready since we're leaving for GenSan. My wait will take a while because my Mom does a lot of chores before leaving the house. Sigh. She hasn't changed a bit. :D

I love it here! The air is fresh and not humid at all. It's because our house is surrounded with plants. I call our front yard "mini-forest". LOL!

Here are some photos of our home and the mini forest.

Vanity...

I have been getting worried about the pimples all over my face. It has gotten worst, I guess. Before I went home back to our province for vacation, I really thought their going to heal. I have done everything like facial treatments but it's all in vain. It has worsen when I was in GenSan since it's too hot and dusty in that place.

My cousin Lainy have already suggested a set of facial products to help me out. My pimples were that evident since everyone seemed to notice. I'm just sick and tired of people asking me "What happened to your face?". Makes me even more anxious.

I'm still being patient with the facial products I'm using. Still waiting for the effect. I read accutane reviews and might get one for myself if the products I'm using right now are not going to work. Sigh! Call it vanity. Who doesn't want to look pretty, anyway?

Blogging at the Airport...

I'm at the airport now, waiting for my scheduled flight. I'll be boarding in an hour so I thought I'd better go online in order to not get bored.

A lot of passengers are bound to GenSan. I was looking for some familiar faces but couldn't seem to find one.

I will finally get reunited with my family and friends after more than a year. Nimfa, our family friend, will be the one to fetch me from the airport like she usually does. Thank God she isn't too busy today. Thanks so much Ate !

I bullied Lainy this morning that my flight got canceled. Lol! I think she believed it. Well, dear cousin, I'm coming home!!! See ya! :D

Had Fun at Club Manila East!

Me and my team mates at work finally decided to expend the remaining prize that we won for the music video contest. That was P10,000 worth of team building fund at Club Manila East, a resort in Taytay, Rizal. We spent it all Wednesday of last week.

Just arrived at CME

Getting ready to swim!!!

We had a great time having fun under the sun!

Here comes the WAVE!!! Woohooo!

Some of my colleagues brought along their cute kids with them. That added up to the thrill because I love kids!

We certainly had a blast!
