After Acne Phase Comes Scarred Face...

I'm still a bit disappointed when I look at some of my new photos. Most of them, I'm not proud to post on the networking sites I joined in, even on my blogs. I still have the annoying acne scars on my face! Although I'm happy that I was able to overcome the acne phase (thank God for the acne pill prescribed by my dermatologist), this acne scars are a bit of a dilemma for me. I can't go back to my doctor yet because that would mean I'm gonna have to spend a lot of money again. I just hope that these scars are going to be treated soon. I hope that the scars are just going to heal without me spending a penny! LOL! How I wish!

Trying To Suppress My Craving For Burgers! :D

My cousin Michelle was supposed to treat me at her favorite burger house earlier today. It was supposed to be a good treat because the burger house had a 50% sale today. Too bad we were not able to take advantage of the yummy burger because Michelle has to run some personal errands.

Even though I'm a bit disappointed, I'm also glad that I haven't munched on a burger today. Did you know that a quarter pound burger is equivalent to more than 350 calories? Burning 300 calories for me is spending 45 minutes running and brisk walking on the tread mill. You can just imagine how exhausted I get just to burn 300 calories a day. That's sort of my goal whenever I hit the gym. That doesn't include the other exercises I do in the gym.

At work, a lot of people noticed my weight loss. I'm glad they did! :D I'm putting too much work on this just to look good and feel good. LOL! I'm still trying to convince some colleagues to workout with me but most of them prefer diets for quick weight loss. They don't want to go through the physical work out just yet.

Anyway, I'll try to keep myself from eating burgers. I might still satisfy my craving but I won't eat the whole burger. How's that? I'll find someone to eat half of it! I promise! :D

I always dream of a cozy home where I can live comfortably for the rest of my life. A home where I can also invite my friends over for a tea party or whatever party I want to make. Call me ambitious but I really wanted a trendy home with a nice yard, a living room with Hunter ceiling fans to make my guests feel comfortable. A beautiful house that has a kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances I need to make a good meal, bedrooms that have bathrooms in them with queen sized beds!

I just love to dream, you know. It's for free anyway! But I hope I can make that dream into a reality. :D

Got Drunk But Wasn't Wasted...:D

I got drunk yesterday but didn't get wasted fortunately! :D

I'm not a drinker. So even just on my first shot of Tequila, I was already turning red. I turned like a red pumpkin when we were done. I was blushed from face to the sole of my feet! hahaha! It was some kind of a farewell party for very a good friend/colleague who is about to leave the company. I really wasn't planning to drink but I had no choice but to join them. That was my last time to have a good time with a great buddy. Why spoil it, right? :D

Someone pretty much got wasted! I'm glad it wasn't me! Hahaha!

Xernan Domasian is a funny yet sensitive guy. There will never be dull moments with him because he doesn't run out of stories and jokes to tell. Even though our job gets too stressful most of the time, just a simple chitchat with Xernan takes the stress away. Haha! He's a stress medicine I guess! Stress tab??? Just kidding!

Talking About My Status...:D

I seem to be surrounded with people who are in love. My cousin Michelle is getting married before the end of this year, Lainy, who's also a dear cousin of mine is now engaged to Kuya Scotty, a colleague showed everyone at work her engagement ring a few days ago.

I am of course happy for them. I know that it is what they wanted in life. To be married to the man they love.

It sometimes make me think about myself. Will I ever get a marriage proposal from someone I love? And then wear some loose diamonds or just a simple ring will actually do. LOL! Honestly, I ask myself that question sometimes. I'm not getting any younger and I don't even have a boyfriend. Not that I worry about it that much. I don't really have the time to even look at a man lately. I am so preoccupied. :D

Some people think that I'm maybe too choosy about men. Well, maybe yes. With my past relationships with the opposite sex, after all the heartaches that I have been through, I will be more than willing to protect my heart from breaking into pieces again. I'm not really looking for a perfect guy. I just want someone who will treat me right.

Nah! I'm just being mellow dramatic right now. I'm not in a hurry into involving with someone right now. I haven't really asked God for Mr. Right yet. I'm just not ready.:D

Shopping Spree At MOA

During Kuya Scotty's (Lainy's fiance) visit here in Manila, I escorted them to the 3rd biggest mall in Asia - The SM Mall of Asia. He told me that back in Sydney, Australia, clothes are much expensive. When he saw the cheaper prices at the men's clothes at the department store, he didn't think twice about shopping. He bought a lot of men's polo shirts that he can use during Church service and also got himself signature jackets that he can use during winter in Australia. He's not going to be back here for a while so he took advantage of buying the clothes that he needed.

It was a tiring day but it was all worth the while. I was able to get to know Kuya Scotty and was able spend time with Lainy! :D

Workout Canceled...

I wasn't really feeling good today so I canceled my workout. I felt dizzy and going to the gym wasn't a very good idea. Instead, I treated myself with a soothing massage. I had the masseuse I knew from the church come to my apartment. She also did my nails so I pretty much stayed at home today. I ate a lot today though. Now I have a lot of calories to burn tomorrow morning.

I'm also planning to watch a favorite local band's concert tomorrow. Wela and her roommate got us a ticket. I'm hoping to be in the front row seats. Too bad my supervisor got me an upper box seat! I'm really disappointed. But then hopefully Wela's friend will be able to get me a good seat tomorrow. I'm still crossing my fingers.

I better hit the sack because I have to wake up early tomorrow.

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A very popular phrase that means every one has different ideas about what beautiful is. A pretty face to me may not be pretty to others.

Here in the Philippines, someone who is fair skinned, has pointed nose or someone who has a bit of a foreign blood (a mestizo) is an ideal beauty. Seldom will you see T.V. personalities who doesn't have these traits. Unless that person has extraordinary talent, he or she won't have a chance to fame.

In the contrary, Americans and other foreigners choose a Filipino wife who has exotic beauty. To some, they find these women unattractive but to the foreigners, they felt like they won a pot of gold!

It's just funny how we differ into identifying what beautiful is. As for me, I find someone pretty if he or she is beautiful inside and out! A pretty face, which is taken care of by natural acne treatment, is of no use to me if that person have trashy attitude. There's just no point of liking them. Whereas, someone who has good personality is definitely beautiful to me!

Work Out After Pig-out! :D

Our team had lunch at the office after work yesterday. We had pancit Malabon, pork barbecue, and piche2x with cheese which we ordered from our favorite restaurant nearby. I ended up so full! I felt so tired and sleepy because of my busy schedule this week so I decided not to hit the gym. Geez! I have to burn the calories from yesterdays pig-out! I'm also thinking about colon cleanse to totally eradicate unwanted toxins in my body. Talking about turning into a health freak! :D

Anyway, after giving gifts to September birthday celebrants, we went home. I was already thinking about bed on my way home. It was raining yesterday and that gave me a very good sleep last night.

I'll be working out later today. That's after I'm done with my home and online chores! Thank God it's another rest day from work!

Can't Keep In Touch With Mom

I haven't talked to my Mom lately. It's so hard to get in touch with her because she doesn't have a phone. Even if she has a phone, she don't know how to use it. So she end up giving the phones to my brothers. My brothers have their own lives now and it's much harder for me to keep in touch with my Mom.

I wonder how she is now. I bet she's busy with her coffee business. I hope she's not getting sick although she's got age spots. She's not getting any younger but I'm hoping she's healthy. It makes me guilty sometimes that I'm not the one taking care of her. It's just not easy to get a good paying job in the province. I hope I can find a way so I can also take care of her.

I miss my Mom, that's all. :(

A Friend Can't Work Out Yet...

I would love working out with a friend. I was encouraging my friend, Julie who's also a colleague, to go to the gym with me. She really wanted to because she's sick and tired of being teased about her weight. Old acquaintances of hers asks her if she's pregnant when they see her. And she gets really pissed whenever she gets comments like that. I wouldn't lie to her though. Since I'm her friend, I always tell that she really gained a lot of weight.

She's interested into working out but she and her husband have to park that. They have a lot of expenses to take care of, and they have their baby boy who goes to school now. First things have to be prioritized. She told me she's going to buy diet pills weight loss for now. She can't afford to go to the gym yet.

Come December, I hope we will be able to hit the gym together.

Musikang Atin 2010

It's now 7:15 pm and I still haven't slept! :D I just watched the choir competition which is part of our Church's (Iglesia Ni Cristo) 2nd "Musikang Atin" annual celebration here in the District of Metro Manila South. I was supposed to be part of the choir, Malibay Chorale, that represented our locale. But because of my schedule at work and the acne attack, I did not continue in joining the chorale.

Brother Bien and his wife Sister Zeny, they are friends of mine here in our Church, fetched me around 4pm this afternoon. We went to Cuneta Astrodome to watch the competition. I was surprised because it's a very nice event. Some were even wearing gowns. The hosts were T.V. personalities of Net25 which is a dedicated channel for Iglesia Ni Cristo. Janice de Belen and Gladys, who are our sisters in faith, were there as judges for the competition.

If I just didn't have work today, I really wanted to stay longer. I love the songs that were presented on the earlier part of the show. Unfortunately, I have to leave because I still have work later on. I was able to watch our locale's chorale perform though. They are one of the finalists in the competition. They sang the song pretty well. I hope they will win.

I'm glad I went to the event and was able to hear great songs that were very well sang for God's glory! I love my Church even more! :D

Love Makes Lainy Prettier! :D

My cousin Lainy is even more blooming when I saw her with Kuya Scotty last week. She's sexier and prettier than before. Love definitely makes one more beautiful!

She told me that she doesn't go to the gym and seldom play badminton because she too busy at work. She turned to fat burners that really worked for her! She also did not eat rice in 3 months! Geez! I don't think I can do that! But then, it's worth the sacrifice because she did lose weight!

I was browsing a lot of her pictures online and I can say that she's really happy being with her Prince! :D Although he already left to go back to Australia, I know they will be together again someday. They have surpassed the time and distance prior to their meeting last week. I know they will endure another 2 or three years of not being together in flesh.

Meet Up With Kuya Scotty And Lainy

Gentle, kind, cool and gwapo! That's how I see Kuya Scotty, my dear cousin Lainy's fiance. :D

I finally had the chance to meet him last Thursday. I had fun touring them around the Ayala Malls and Mall Of Asia yesterday. He's an Australian and it's his first time to visit the Philippines.We ate in several restaurants, watched a movie and I accompanied them shopping for their stuffs. They spent several days in the province and Manila is his last stop before going back to Australia today. I was glad that when they came back here in Manila, it's my day off from work so I have all time to become their tour guide for 2days.

I enjoyed the walks and talks with the couple. It's really nice seeing them together. They're so in love! Their love story is inspiring. They have been in a relationship for a long time. They nurtured their love through the networking sites and constant chatting and emailing and numerous phone calls. Some of us in the blogsphere, have learned about their love story because Lainy actually shares about it in her Our Journey To Forever blog. I'm just glad that after years of waiting and longing for each other, they have finally spent time together in person! And their relationship is now sealed with a proposal! They're now engaged! I'm really happy for them!

We will learn more about the proposal as soon as Lainy is able to go back online. I know a lot of online friends are waiting to hear from her.

I Love Working Out!

I love working out!

Whenever I hit the gym after work and on my rest days, I'm always excited to use the tread mill. That's actually my favorite machine among all the other exercise equipments in the gym. I love the feel of the sweat getting out of my skin pores while running or brisk walking on the tread mill.

The only problem I have is, I still eat a lot! I wanted to lose a lot of weight fast, but sometimes I can't control myself into having 3 heavy meals a day! I know it's not good. I better do something or get myself a fat burner that my friend suggested so I will be able to lose weight faster.

Trying to have a fit and sexy body is way harder than I thought! :D

A Pimple And My Hectic Schedule

I just got home from Church. I'm still so tired and dying to get enough sleep. I can't go to bed yet because I still have a lot of online chores to accomplish. Sigh. In addition to that is my shift at work later on. :D

In the past few days of a hectic schedule, I notice a pimple on my forehead. A product of not having enough sleep! Lol! I know a lot of ways now of how to get rid of acne anyways so I think I won't have to worry much about that one pimple. The hectic schedule I had this week is all worth it! I had the chance to bond with my dear cousin Lainy and Kuya Scotty.

Tomorrow, I may be able to get enough sleep finally. And I'm so looking forward to it!

I Finally Met Lainy's Prince! :D

It's been a long day today! I'm so tired and I'm getting ready to hit the sack but I just have to let you guys know that I really had fun today!


I met my dear cousin Lainy's "fiance", Kuya Scotty. I toured them at the Ayala malls, watched a movie with them, and did karaoke with them just a few hours ago. We had a lot of fun today! And I'm just so glad to learn that they're now engaged!

Credit card and identity theft have been rampant these days. Fraudsters seem to be anywhere and is able to do something just to get someone else's money. It leaves a lot of people vulnerable to these perpetrators. The question is, how are we able to protect ourselves from them?

Credit card companies have set up fraud security to each of their clients' credit card. Although they are able to detect fraud, they won't be able to help prevent it from happening.

Hoping To Find Friends At The Gym

At Slimmer's World in Makati where I workout, I see a lot of older women, some are even aged but they're toned and really look younger than their age, I think. A lot of them even join the dance sessions. I would love to dance too but I'm still a bit shy. Besides, I still haven't made friends with anyone at the gym yet. These women look vibrant and I find them cool. Instead of just reading xenadrine ultra reviews online, they do these extensive workout just to look and feel good. They are quite an inspiration to me, actually.

I don't workout on weekends so I only get to go to the gym on weekdays. I hope I will be able to find a friend next week. :D

SIL's Dad Suffered Stroke... :(

Joy, my sister-in-law, is scheduled to go home in GenSan tomorrow. Her Dad just had a heart attack and is still undergoing operation. We all hope that he's going to be fine.

It's just scary. I can see how worried they are right now. I am worried too. We're still hoping and praying for his recovery. And we hope that if he gets better, he'd stay away from drinking beer. According to Joy, her Dad is stubborn when he gets reprimanded about his drinking.

Meanwhile, I hope all goes well.

A Night Out After A Work Out! :D

I enrolled myself in a gym near my work place this week and started working out yesterday. My body is a little soar right now but it's all worth it! I'm glad I was able to burn some calories on my first day at the gym. I had fun! :D

After the gym, I slept at the office then later on met up with my best friend Czarina and an old buddy, Paul at Cowboy Grill in Malate. There were different bands that played last night. All of them are "show bands". They don't have a certain genre that they play.

But there was this band that caught my attention - the Kool Jacks Band which consists of 7 men. I think they're on their late 40's to 50's but they're really great performers! Most of us were laughing our butts off since they crack jokes while they perform. They're really funny!

The rest of our stay at Cowboy Grill was a whole lot of dancing with my best friend at the dance floor. We haven't done that for years. Ah! I really enjoyed our night out!

I'm All But A Nagging Sis And I Hate It! :(

I hate nagging! I've been doing it lately and it makes me kind of stressed out! I don't like to keep repeating myself! I didn't choose teaching as a profession because I don't have that much patience! I don't like telling people what to do because I don't like treating them like they're stupid!

I hate seeing people looking so lazy when they're not supposed to. Phew! I'm talking about my brother. I just had enough of him lately. I'm getting tired of hearing his wife telling him what to do. He's like a toy waiting to be maneuvered or something. He can't just do things his way. Someone has to tell him what to do and what not! He's just a year younger than me but he acts like he's still in college. He just wanted to sleep and watch TV! And when he sleeps he snores so loud! I kept telling him to do some exercise to remedy the disturbing snore but it just fell on deaf ears! What the hell happened to him? He's got a wife and a kid for Christ-sake! Geez! I don't know what to do with him anymore. I'm really running out of patience here.

I'm all but a nagging sister and I hate it! :(

My Mom And The Future...

The last time I talked to my Mom over the phone is when she asked me to sign up for a direct selling company called DXN. She wanted to go to Malaysia and wanted me to help her out in selling some products. I'm still half-hearted because I know I'm stubborn. I'm afraid to end up disappointing her. I would still love to make her happy though.

It's the same thing she did (insistent prodding) when she asked me to get a pension plan from my Aunt Rose. The pension plan is the same as what I've read from term life insurance quotes. Your beneficiary gets a sum of money if something happens to you. If I won't die, I get to enjoy the money that I've spent for the pension plan that I've signed for.

My Mom is always ready for future financial crisis. This is the kind of values that she wanted us so badly to inherit from her. During our phone conversation, she told me that she's going to buy herself her coffin so that if she dies, we won't have to worry about it. It's silly because she'd already planned in advance for her funeral.

I know it's funny and really silly. But that's how my Mom is! :D

Rainy Days and A Bad Flu... :(

It has been raining cats and dogs. As expected, with my weak immune system, I usually get sick during rainy seasons. I don't have a choice but to stay home all day and blog and watch my favorite TV shows. I hope I won't get so sick though.

My best friend Czarina is back here in Manila. I went to see her the other day at Robinson's Mall. We watched a movie, chatted for a while and went home afterward. I was really not in the mood because of my flu.

It's still raining hard outside. I envy the kids who get to enjoy playing in the rain. They seem to not care about getting sick. I wish I can be like them once again. Darn! I miss being a kid! :D
