Working Out Pays Off!

I feel good about myself lately. I've been buying some new clothes and I'm now comfortable fitting those body fit shirts and blouses! LOL! Thanks to my perseverance in working out. Now I'm more comfortable about myself! All the pain and sweating at the gym really paid off!

I'll be off to the gym later today. Some of the air conditioning units are under repair lately. They just have big fans turned on all over the place. I sweat more than when air conditioning units are working fine. I think it's better that way for me but not to those who have ventilation issues. As for me, as long as those machines and equipments have proper bearings, I won't mind the crappy ventilation.

Busy Day At Work on Black Friday...

Later is Black Friday in the United States! I'm in the Philippines so that statement doesn't mean that I'm excited or happy about it. We, Filipinos, don't celebrate Black Friday.

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States. This is the beginning of Christmas shopping season so a lot of people are lined up hours early before a store that has big sale opens! I have seen on t.v. how it is whenever it's Black Friday. People push their way to the stores to the point of getting hurt because of the stampede. If I leave in the United States, I might not dare shopping on Black Friday. LOL!

So what's making me anxious about Black Friday? It's the amount of calls that I'm dreading to take on my shift at work later on! Phew! It's going to be queuing of calls today. I better prepare myself and get enough sleep.

Healthy And Happy Life Is A Choice

There are a lot ways to lose weight. There's the gym where you can work out to burn those calories or if you don't want to spend some money, you can jog on the roadside or at a park, wherever it's safe. You can follow proper dieting, or you can take diet pills as long as you're aware of the side effects of diet pills that you're planning to take. It also depends on how your body would react to the pills. It would be better if you consult with your physicians.

I know a lot of people who kept saying they also wanted to lose weight but don't do something about it. They don't watch their diet, don't exercise and scared of trying diet pills. They just keep ranting about how fat they look, that they don't feel good about themselves. Isn't it annoying to hear someone complain and yet they don't have any intentions of solving their problems?

For me, it's always a choice if you want to live a healthy and happy life. Just ranting won't do any good.

Excited To Meet Up With An Old Friend! :D

I'm feeling tired right now. Doing my laundry got me exhausted. But then I have to keep myself awake.

I'll be meeting up with my male best friend back in college - Ramie. He arrived here in Manila last Sunday and I haven't seen him yet. The last time we saw each other was during our college graduation. Thanks to social networking sites like Facebook, we were able to get in touch!

Ramie is my classmate all throughout my 3 years in college. He's one of those intelligent people that I love chatting with. We often go to a coffee shop in front of the school and chat for hours. LOL! I miss those good old days!

I'm excited to see him later. I'm planning to bring him to Starbucks and have a taste of great coffee, like what we used to do during college days.

I'm not really sure if we would still be able to watch the first part of the final installment of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows as planned! There's a lot of catching up to do! Just chatting with Ramie will take most of the time

I'm not really a fan of Harry Potter but Ramie is. I also would like to watch the famous film.

I Want My Vacation Leave Approved!

I'm coming home whether my vacation leave gets approved or not! I've been working my a$$ for 9 months with no absences and I've never been late in going to work!

Geez! I just want to say it here out loud! I'm still waiting for them to approve my vacation leave. A lot of employees at work wanted to spend time with families during the holiday season, and I'm one of them. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Why does it feel like we have to beg for that freaking vacation leave when it's our privilege? We earn those leaves and we should take it whenever we want, right? It's just so hard to get approved for VLs!

I just terribly miss my family. I haven't seen my Mom for more than 9 months now. I need to take a break from work and spend time with my family and friends back in the province. I miss home. This work is getting too tiring for me.

Sigh. Enough about my rants... Thank you all for hearing me out! :D

Shopped At Gingersnaps Warehouse

Night market at Pasig City was canceled yesterday. It was all my fault. So Judith, Julie and I ended up going home early after. We we're able to go to Gingersnaps warehouse though, which is also located in Pasig City. It was a long ride but it's all worth it. I was able to buy skirts at very low prices! Unfortunately, we got there an hour before the warehouse closes. So we really weren't able to buy a lot of clothes. We hope to go back there soon and do our best to be there earlier.

Manny Pacquiao Took The Stress Away! :D

It feels like a holiday here in the Philippines whenever Manny Pacquiao has a fight! People in all walks of life are glued to their television sets to watch and cheer for Manny. The streets were not that crowded,it was peaceful and best of all there was no traffic jam.

I was all smiles on my way home. I just watched Pacquiao's victory over Margarito on live streaming at the office after my shift. Even though I was so tired from taking a lot of calls today, Manny's victory took the stress away! LOL!

Congratulations to Manny! We are so proud of you!

The weather wasn't good yesterday. It rained all day. We were not able to go to Pampanga not only because of the bad weather. Marmi also texted us that it's not yet a good time to visit her Mom.

I ended up watching movies online and sleep most of the day! It wasn't a productive day. I even procrastinated on working out. Now I have to burn whatever calories I had these past couple of days.

It's a Friday. Most of you are excited about Fridays, aren't you? Well I'm not. It's the end of my weekend. Work resumes at 1am tomorrow. Sigh. And I still have a lot of work to accomplish.

Waiting For Approval Of Vacation Leave...

My vacation leave for December got declined! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though. I don't want to go on vacation with out pay. That wouldn't be fair. As of now, I'm waiting for it to get reconsidered. My reason if valid anyway. It's my cousin's wedding and I don't want to not be able to attend it.

Michelle, the soon-to-be-bride headed home yesterday. She went home to take care of the wedding preparations. Her fiancé, Jon will also be heading to the province soon. I bet he's checking on the wedding ring for the both of them. Is he going to buy black diamond rings? That would be cool and extra ordinary! :D

My family and relatives back in the province are all excited for Michelle's wedding day. I'm expecting it to be a family reunion since a lot of our relatives don't want to miss our Michelle's big day!

I just can't wait to go home! I hope my vacation leave gets approve!

Might Donate Blood For A Friend's Mom...

I feel guilty for not being able to go to the gym for 2 succeeding days now. I was supposed to workout today but I have to finish some errands. Besides, I might donate some of my blood for a friend's Mom later today. I thought if I workout, I would feel very tired and might not be able to pass some lab tests.

My friend's Mom was diagnosed of stage 4 cancer. I really feel bad for her. The least I can do is to be with Marmi and somehow help her Mom by donating blood. Her Mom is confined in a hospital in Pampanga. I will be travelling with two other friends, Judith and Carylle. We're leaving at lunch time later. Judith and I might donate some of our blood for Marmi's Mom. I hope we pass the tests though.

The Nanny Experience... :D

My brother and I grew up with a single parent. My Dad hasn't been around on the early stage of our lives. We grew up with my Supermom who does a lot of work to support all three of us. So we're entrusted to nannies. I know that my mother would want to take care of us by herself but she has to work. I remember those times when we only get to see her a few minutes in the morning since she works nights and we're about to leave for school. When we get home from school, she has already left for work or just about to go to work. We really didn't have time to bond as a family. We got used to it when we were young. It wasn't an ideal set up but we didn't have any choice.

So there we were, left to nannies who sometimes beat us because we're stubborn as kids! My little brother who's the silliest always get the spanking. LOL! My Mom really don't have enough idea about what's going on when she's away. I can still remember the nannies bringing men in the house and we end up getting robbed. If only at that time, nanny cameras were available, my Mom would've figured out what's happening at home when she's away. It would've given her a little bit of peace of mind knowing how we were when she's at work.

Nowadays, a lot of people especially Moms consider these security gadgets at home. If you're a millionaire and wanted to add security for your home and fortune, cameras can now be installed in all corners of your mansion. It's just a click away on your computer if you want to take advantage of these gadgets.

My Mom only found out the beating later when we're already grown ups. We just laugh about the nanny experience. My Mom will always say that she's thankful that we surpassed the hardships and all of us, her children, grew up as better persons. Even though my Mom and I have a lot of differences, I'm still thankful that she's the Mom that God gave me. Geez! I'm missing her all the more!

Helping A Friend On Her New Business

A friend of mine at work, Mai2x, has been selling some must-have stuffs in the office. Recently, I bought a pair of flip-flops from her. She sells original Havaianas flip-flops in a cheaper price and allows her buyers to pay it in half's. Since I haven't own a pair of Havaianas yet, I opted to order from her.

I told her to create an account in Facebook for her business. She thought it was a good idea so she ended up doing it. That way, she will have more clients. Some people might be interested to purchase and have the items shipped to their homes. Mai2x should better think of better price for the shipment and also come up with a cool name for her business so she can put it on her return address labels if she sends the package. I better make another suggestion for her! :D

End of DST And Working On My Other Blog

Daylight Saving Time ends on November 7, 2010 at 2 a.m. in the United States. It's time for them to move their clocks an hour backwards.

Well, Philippines doesn't have DST. But since I work in a call center and cater clients in the US, agents like me are affected of the of the time change. Today, I have an additional hour to get enough sleep. That's the reason why I am still up right now and doing my online chores! :D Errr... This won't give me enough, will it?

My other blog, I think, needs a web host that has managed hosting. I still have to take care of that so I can profit from the other blog too. I just don't have time to take care of that blog as of yet. That's one of my projects online that haven't made any profits yet. Sigh.

I hope the time change will help me manage my time so I can take care of other stuffs online. I really would want to profit from my other blog.

A Friend's Status On FB Hoaxed... :D

A good friend of mine, Den2x, updated her status on Facebook. She posted she's already married. I was the first one who made a comment about her status. I was really surprised! We haven't communicated in a few months and all of a sudden she's married. And she was just in a relationship with the guy for just a few months. It's just hard for me to believe she tied the knot. So I texted her on her cellphone and got relieved when I find out that the post was a hoaxed. It was intended to be a joke but then a lot of people already seen her status and already congratulated her! LOL! The joke is on her now!

We talked more about her love-life. I can sense that she's really happy. I'm happy for her too. She deserves someone who'll truly love her because she deserves it. She's a good a person and a really good friend. I'm looking forward to seeing her in December and know more about her new man. I warned her about weight. I've seen her recent photos with her boyfriend and she really gained weight. All of a sudden we talked about weight loss. I advised her to go to the gym or read lipofuze reviews to motivate herself into loosing weight. She has to look good in case she really will tie the knot!

I'm happy to be able catch up with my friend's life. I'm happy that Den2x has finally met someone who makes her happy! :D

The Social Network - Review

I normally go online with the intentions of blogging, finishing up my online chores. First thing I open is my mailbox to check on my messages. And then most of the mails in my inbox come from Facebook. So I'd then open my Facebook account and end up spending hours replying to comments, commenting on friends' status, checking on what my friends have been up to and viewing recent photos posted by friends. The only thing that I don't do with Facebook is playing the games like Farmville and all other apps that have become an addiction to many. By checking my Facebook account everyday or each time I open my laptop, I can say that I am one of those hooked with the social networking site!

I chanced to watch the movie The Social Network a couple of weeks ago. It made me appreciate Facebook all the more and made me become thankful for the genius behind Facebook - Mark Zuckerberg. Millions of people are now connected with their friends and loved ones through this networking site. It's way better than Friendster, Multiply, Twitter, etc. It really had changed our lives virtually!

Although not everything in the movie is accurate (especially the ex-girlfriend part as what the creator of Facebook claimed in the news), what is important is it made a nice representation of how Facebook came about.

The Social Network, as we all know, is a movie about a young Harvard dropout, Mark Zuckerberg who turned a school project into a multi-billion dollar empire. It started with getting himself drunk after being dumped by his girlfriend. He made the "FaceMash" with the help of his best friend who provided him the algorithm. It is a site about voting two pretty girls in campus which crashed the University's server and got him under probation as a punishment. He became popular and met the twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss who offered him a job as a programmer of their website, Harvard Connection.

Zuckerberg ended up stealing the idea and made his own social networking site - TheFacebook which was financed by his best friend Eduardo Saverin. It gained popularity not only in Harvard but also in other schools in the US. It only expanded in other continents when Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster, came along the way and also was the one who suggested the name - Facebook, instead of TheFacebook. Eduardo and Sean don't get along with each other. There were conflicts and drama between the 3 of them.

Mark ended up getting 2 lawsuits. One from his best friend since they cut his share much less than 3%. The other lawsuit was from the Winklevoss's. Both lawsuits got settled for millions of dollars. Well, Mark didn't seem to mind since he's now a billionaire! :D

I had a funny thought about having geeks as boyfriends because they have the bigger chance in becoming rich and famous! LOL!

Off To Dreamland! :D

I woke up late today. I wasn't able to go to the gym so I did my crunches and did some other simple exercises here in my room after doing some household chores. I burned some calories for sure but not as much as I would have burned if I went to the gym. Well, I can do it tomorrow. :D

I just watched my fave shows on tv today and chatted with some friends in Facebook. I also went to church this afternoon. I wasn't too busy today but I really felt relaxed. If I have enough money, I would've have had a masseuse go to my apartment so I can get a relaxing massage. Well, I have to stick to my budget. I can't afford a massage as of yet.

I'm now ready to go to bed. I already applied my night cream after putting acne cleanser on my face. Dreamland, here I come! :D

I Overcome Procrastination! :D

I overcome procrastination today! Hooray!

I almost did not go to the gym after doing my laundry. I kept looking at the clock and thought about things I still have to accomplish for the day. I was almost convinced of putting my workout aside for the day. But lo and behold! I packed my bag and hit the gym!

I was able to burn a lot of calories today and felt good about sweating! I was able to see the accomplished women who seem to be using wrinkle serum because they have pretty faces despite their age doing weights at the gym. And the men - oh well, they're busy with their workout too! :D

I finally met a friend at the gym. Her name is Gladys. She's gorgeous. We finally introduced ourselves during our chitchat at the locker room earlier today. She works out the same time as I do.

I just feel good about today! It's indeed a happy Wednesday! :D
