I Work At Emerson! :)

If you're to ask me how my work is going so far, I'd say - So far sooooo good! I love my job! I really like it compared to my previous jobs. LOL! I've said this a lot of times already. I just feel so lucky and blessed for being able to work at Emerson! Yeah! I said it! I work as a customer service representative at Emerson Electric (Asia), Ltd. And I'm so proud of it! :)

In my about 2 months of stay, there are already a lot of things I learned about Emerson. It's actually a manufacturing and technology company that offers a vast array of products and services globally. :)

My colleagues are cool. They're fun to be with. Some have a little bit of an "attitude" but I can deal with them. My bosses are nice and accommodating and doesn't give me a hard time on my probationary stage at the company. My trainings are not too hard and not stressful at all. I just love it there!

I guess I'll stay at Emerson for a while. :)

Alabang Pictures With Friends

I haven't been to Alabang, Muntinlupa. I actually just went there with Church friends last Saturday. It was about 30 minutes jeepney ride from where I live. I haven't been to Muntinlupa and since Iwas with friends, and they know about the place and the Mall where the jobfair was going to take place, we didn't need a garmin trucker gps to locate the mall at Alabang! I was comfortable seated in the jeepney and make a little chat with my friends.

The mall wasn't open yet when arrived in Alabang. So we waited outside. There were already a lot of members of Iglesia Ni Cristo, anxious for the mall to open so that they can take advantage of the Caravan.

I had a hard time uploading these photos last week. But here are some of them now:

Weekend With Friends

Weekend is over! Sigh. If only I can extend it. I was too busy this weekend but I really had fun.

Last Saturday, there was a job fair and livelihood seminars and some free health check up at Alabang Festival Mall which was sponsored by our Church district here in Metro Manila South. A lot of members of Iglesia Ni Cristo went to take advantage of whatever is offered at the mall.

After my shift, I just went home and changed and then met up with Church friends. We arrived at Alabang Festival Mall a few minutes early before it opens at 10am. You can just imagine how fun it was just chatting with friends, not caring about the time. We basically just had a great time. Some of us got a job and were able to get free consultations. I actually just went there to have fun with friends. :)

--- Unfortunately, for some reason, Blogger won't upload the pictures. I have to run some errands now. I'll just make a separate post of the pictures last Saturday.

A great week to all of us!

It's Friday Again! :)

It's late and I'm about to hit the sack. I'm supposed to be in bed few hours ago but I have a lot of things to accomplish before bed time.

It's Friday and I'm not worried if I ever get so sleepy at work tonight. :) I can sleep during my break time anyway. Or maybe sleep while I'm on my desk waiting for orders to get faxed in the office. I just love my job right now but I still would look forward to weekends!!! :)

Thank God it's Friday!!! :)

Praying For SIL's Safety At UAE

Mary Joy, my sis-in-law arrived safely in United Arab Emirates 2 weeks ago. As soon as she got there, she sent me a text message and we were also able to chat because one of her room mates, thankfully, owns a computer. I'm glad to know that she was safe over there.

Mary Joy is now working as a nurse out there. I'm not really sure if she's going to be attending to patients who are elderly or if she will also take care of the younger ones. Like babies, I know it's a more difficult to take care of the sick and elderly. She don't need to just bring them medicines but for sure, she's also gonna take charge of replacing stuffs bought by the hospital which are incontinence products at disposablemedicalexpress.com. I can just imagine how hard yet rewarding it is being a nurse.

I just hope she doesn't get depressed for being faraway from her family. I keep sending her text messages, I know my brother does too, just to let her know that she's being remembered here. I hope she prays and holds on to her Faith so that she will get the best comfort from God. I keep praying for her safety over at UAE. I know time will just pass us by and the next thing we know is that she's gonna be with her family again, back home, here in the Philippines.

Lifetime Dreamer

One of my friends just bought his own motorcycle. I quite envied him, actually. I wish I'd can now afford to buy even just a motorcycle so I won't have problems dealing with the traffic on my way to work. I always feel like dozing off in a bus during rush hour. And every time I see motorcycles getting ahead of us, the more I'd dream of getting into one of those 2-cycled vehicle! Sigh.

My dream is actually to own a car. It's convenient for me even though I still will have to deal with the traffic. At least it's my own vehicle and I can do whatever I want with it. If it needs maintenance, motorhome repair are available anywhere for sure. Or I can ask around to bring to a repair shop which also offers insurance. In that way, I'd be comfortable driving it around town. Sigh! It's gonna take years for me, I guess, before I can buy myself a car. I'm not even sure if I'd be able to do that in this lifetime. But really hope I can! :)

Being 28 Doesn't Make Me Feel Old

Whenever I'm asked of my age, I always reply with "What do you think?". I'm always curious of how old people see me. I often get an age range of 23-26. I don't know if they're being honest or just being kind but I feel flattered most of the time. Haha! Then I tell them how old I really am and most of them gets surprised learning that I'm already 28 years old. Those who often ask are guys who are a lot younger than me. :)

I really don't feel old. Whenever I'm with younger friends, sometimes I forget about my age and act like a teenager. It's fun! I like having fun and mingle with the younger ones. I really don't bother acting like a child. That's one thing about me that I don't ever want to lose - the child in me.

Some of my friends ask me why I don't even have a boyfriend. They say, I'm supposed to have one and think about settling down because I'm not getting any younger. I just tell them I'm not in a hurry. I won't get married just because I'm being pressured of my age. Mr. Right just hasn't arrived yet. If ever he comes along and ask me to marry him and offer me a ring from makemyegagementring.com, I'd probably say YES!

Nah! Why bother to think about that now? I still love my single blessedness and enjoy whatever I am right now! I'm still young! Being 28 doesn't make me feel old yet! :)
