On A Diet For A Friend's Wedding

I have gained a lot of weight lately. I've been watching my diet but since my Mom was here the past few weeks, I wasn't able to restrain myself into eating too much carbs.

My mom really doesn't know how to cook but tries really hard to do the cooking herself. And just so she won't be disappointed, I eat whatever she cooks. I comment sometimes but most of the time, I keep the comments to myself. LOL! It takes hours for her to do the task and most of the time, it takes all her energy. When we're done eating her meal she would always want to take a nap. Something that I also did (sleeping after having a full meal) when she was around. So here's the outcome: bloated me!

Irene, a friend of mine, and yours truly are trying lose weight. We jogged a week ago and we haven't done it again. We've been very busy. So we decided to try to not eat rice. I myself have done it 3 days in a row now. I just eat wheat bread with peanut butter, oatmeal with milk and drink lots of water. I hope and pray this diet helps.

I know it's too early to tell but I think the diet is working. I hope Irene and I will find time to exercise this weekend. We really have to lose weight to look good for an upcoming wedding of a couple whom we're both friends with. We don't want to look fat on the pictures for sure! LOL!

Goodluck for your Dieting sis :) i remember one time when i am to attend as bridesmaid in one wedding i've also dieted i only eat veggies no rice. and it works :)

Keep working out and eat in moderation. I ate rice everyday but I work out too so it doesn't really affect me. Good luck!

Always include fruit on your diet. Try also hot water with slice of lemon every morning to give your system a boost.
I'm on a low-carb diet too. I changed white rice to brown rice, which helped a lot in my case.
Hope to hear from you again regarding the outcome of your diet. Take it easy though.

Hahaha! Natawa ako kay Papaleng kasi nag demand ng litrato, LOL!

They said it's 70% diet and 30% exercise. No carbs diet for me doesn't work anymore. I need to hit the gym for that. I have been used to not having rice in my diet since 2009 but it feels good to indulge every once in a while.

Goodluck to a trimmer you, Bang. Kelan ba ang kasal?

I'd like to copy your diet, Ally as I myself got tired na of seeing my body so big. Hahaha. I shlal postpone the dieting though and will resume next year, when I am done breastfeeding. :) Good luck on the diet regimen! All for a friend's wedding, wow! :)

good luck on your dieting, i think even if you eat rice as long as it is in moderation and you are able to stop yourself from eating more, it should be okay. most people i know however can't stop from eating too much when they eat rice since it is their "appetizer", haha. anyway, i eat rice everyday 3x a week, but in moderation, unlike when i was younger, one cup of rice every meal 3x day was not enough, now, just a cup of rice each time :(

Diet will really make you lose weight but exercise will get rid of those inches faster, go go go :)

hehe.. when my mom was here when I deliver my second child i gained a lot too because i did nothing. my mom did almost everything, taking care of the newly born baby, cleaning the house, and cooking. lol. it took me 3 years to get back to my old weight. hehe.. good luck in losing weight!
