My brother is out in Ermita today and is looking for a job. That's what he came for here in Manila this time. He's knocking on doors of agencies to try his luck to get hired as a nurse abroad. He had taken a lot of examinations just to prove to countries he's planning to work for that he's eligible for the position. S
Some countries would require them to take different examinations. For Abu Dhabi it's HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi) Exams and for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia he had to pass the Prometric Exams. Luckily, my brother passed both examinations and has all the requirements he needed for those countries. The problem is, these countries very seldom hire male nurses. But that doesn't stop my brother from trying. He really want to practice his profession.
He told me that this is going to be his last try. Poor bro. If he won't get a job abroad he said he's going to try to follow my older brother's footstep - to become a policeman. I don't have a problem with that. It's just that he had to go through hell and back before he becomes a policeman.
If ever he won't get a job abroad, I might persuade him to open a small business in the province instead. Letterhead printing would be a good idea for a business back home. But it would still be up to my brother whatever he decides to do. The least I can do is to support his decisions and be a good sister to him.
