Joey And Her Talents

One of my colleagues is very talented when it comes to writing songs and novels. She’s a voracious reader that’s why she’s got a creative mind. She sometimes makes me hear some songs that she’d written and they really are good songs. I’ve been telling her to put it in a demo and submit it to somebody who produces albums for singers here in the Philippines. The thing is, she don’t know anyone from the music industry. So I’m one of those in the office who’s fortunate to get to hear her lovely compositions. I haven't read the articles she wrote yet but I've been encouraging her to blog so that I'll have the chance to read what she has to say. It's her only chance to get her stories published publicly, anyway.

She also makes personalized bracelets which she offers as gifts to her friends. I have been asking her to make one for me but she said she didn’t have the time nowadays. I hope she’d be able to make one for me on my birthday or else I will have to ask her to shop online for bracelets! LOL! What a threat!

Her name is Joey. She’s funny yet moody sometimes but I like her. Her talents (writing and creating bracelets) are one of those that I so wanted to acquire for myself. I wish I’m a good writer as well and that I can learn to create lovely bracelets too. It’s going to take some time to be able to learn all that.

For now, I’ll wait for my birthday to come and get a free bracelet by Joey! I will really appreciate it! :D

Great Food And Awesome Workmates

My colleagues at Emerson love to eat. One of them often bring home-cooked meals at the office whenever her Mom, who by the way makes really delicious food, is in the mood to cook. It's just funny because whenever I get a taste of the food that my colleague bring, I always tell her that she's so lucky to have a Mom that cooks very well.

There are also instances that my colleagues eat out after work. They usually go to fine dining restaurants just to satisfy their cravings. They normally talk about the restaurants that have good ambiance, have western charm and reclaimed wood dining table but are a bit costly. I don't think the price matter to them as long as they were able to eat good food.

I don't normally go out with them because I am watching my diet. I'm such a killjoy, aren't I? I hear them all say that whenever I decline their invitations. But I guess one day, I'll might go with them. I also want to be able to chat with them outside work. I know I'm going to have fun with these awesome colleagues. :)

The Boys At Work Need Binoculars

We haven't really been doing much at work lately. We often sleep on our long breaks during our training. Some of us just play games on the computer and others just kill the time by chatting.

There are instances that some of our guys in the room does something silly. Right across from our training room is a condominium. There's this one condo unit where a girl lives. We knew that she's a girl because we basically can see her in her bedroom. She doesn't fully cover the glass window with a curtain or blinds. We don't know if she does that on purpose.

Whenever 5:00 am strikes, the guys are ready at the corner of the training room to take a look at the girl in the window dress up for work. Some of them are having a hard time seeing her and are in dire need of spotting scopes or binoculars so they can get a better view. Duh! Boys will always be boys, right?

I think the woman in the condo figured out that the boys have been watching her. She now turns the light off whenever she prepares for work in the morning. The boys were disappointed and we just can't stop laughing at them the first time the woman didn't have a light turned on in her bedroom. Too bad, boys! :P

Not Going Out This Saturday...

I'm still a bit shy at work. It was only last night that I bonded a bit with some of the guys. I went with them during our lunch break. They were cool and I had fun chatting with them while taking my lunch. I even got tempted smoking one cigarette. :D It won't happen again, I hope!

They invited me to go out with them after our shift on Saturday. I said I'll think about it but I guess I'm not really going. I don't want to be sitting in bar stools and just drink iced tea. It would be very ironic when all the other guys are drinking liquor. I don't drink and I don't like the taste of beer or any alcoholic drinks.

I better go home after shift on Saturday and finish all my personal errands. I'll just make myself productive at home and get a good rest! :D

Got Drunk But Wasn't Wasted...:D

With Xernan

I got drunk yesterday but didn't get wasted fortunately! :D

I'm not a drinker. So even just on my first shot of Tequila, I was already turning red. I turned like a red pumpkin when we were done. I was blushed from face to the sole of my feet! hahaha! It was some kind of a farewell party for very a good friend/colleague who is about to leave the company. I really wasn't planning to drink but I had no choice but to join them. That was my last time to have a good time with a great buddy. Why spoil it, right? :D

Someone pretty much got wasted! I'm glad it wasn't me! Hahaha!

Xernan Domasian is a funny yet sensitive guy. There will never be dull moments with him because he doesn't run out of stories and jokes to tell. Even though our job gets too stressful most of the time, just a simple chitchat with Xernan takes the stress away. Haha! He's a stress medicine I guess! Stress tab??? Just kidding!

All smiles with friends

I will really miss those talks Dude! I'm glad I got to know you! You're smart and we all know that your life will be better if you choose you're supposed profession - being a nurse. That's what you should have been a long time ago, right? We're happy for you dude and I just wish you good luck and may God bless you on whichever life you choose! We'll miss you bro! :D

Oh, by the way, I would like to thank my ever reliable friend, Judith who brought me home last night! Love you gurlfriend!!! :D

Joy's Birthday Treat!

After an exhausting day at work a couple of days ago, me and my colleagues decided to eat out at Shakey's Pizza parlor in Glorrietta Mall. Joy, one of my team mates just celebrated her birthday last Saturday. Since a friend of ours kept prodding her about a treat, she did give us one!

Here are some of the photos:

The Team!

Joy is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She definitely live up to her name. :D She's intelligent and full of wit. She makes sure that we brush off the negative vibe at work by making funny jokes with us. She always sees good in people even though everyone thinks that there's none anymore.

I really admire this friend of mine. I'm just so lucky to have met her and become friends with her!

Happy birthday Joy! May God continue to bless you and may you continue to be a blessing to everyone. Love ya, friend!!!

Update That Resume!!!

Things are getting really rough at work. It feels like there are a lot of negative vibes in there. My room mate, Joanna already resigned yesterday. Most of our team mates were saddened by her decision but not me. In fact, I'm impressed in how she could make up her mind that easily and quickly. She didn't think twice about resigning at all.

I'm happy for her because she's free of the stress and negativity now. Of course, she's gotten herself into something which I'm not ready to discuss in this blog yet. But she's in a better situation. I wish I could make decisions as quickly as she did. I don't know why, but I have that greater urge within me that's thinking about resigning too. I just have to find a new job that will compensate me better. I can't just loose my job without anywhere else to go yet. I have bills to pay and my stomach to fill. I won't be able to process a loan for the house that my Mom was planning if I'm jobless. Even websites like www.goodsamfinancecenter.com will decline my application if they learn that I'm unemployed.

I better get ready with my resume. I haven't updated it yet. That's the problem with me. I am so stubborn when it comes to doing paper works. I better make up my mind or get stuck with an incompetent boss and not have career growth at all.

Yummy Treat!

Our team consumed half of the prize that we won for the music video contest 2 weeks ago. It was P15,000 worth of Italianni's gift certificate. The whole team got to enjoy the sumptuous meal served at one of the expensive restaurants in town.

Julie and I enjoying our fruit shake! :D

YUMMY TREAT!

That was too much carb, isn't it? LOL!

Happy Birthday Xernan!

One of my colleagues celebrated his birthday yesterday. His name is Xernan, a funny friend who really love hearing himself talk! LOL! But we love that talkative part of him. And noone disagrees if he says he looked like the gorgeous Enchong Dee! hahaha!

We went to his place where he prepared delicious pancit Malabon and piche2x for us and of course, beer for the boys.

We had fun chatting and joking around at his place. Me, Joanna and some colleagues left ahead of the others since we still have errands to do yesterday.

All in all we had fun!
Me and the birthday boy!

Happy birthday Xernan!

Teasing My Colleagues...

I have been such a jerk at work lately. I lose some weight because of being sick and I have been teasing my colleagues about their bellies. I didn't intend to offend anyone of them with my funny remarks. We were just having fun teasing each other. One of the boys said that he's already been on a diet because of me. I wasn't aware that I've been teasing him almost everyday already. Lol! He even said that he'll try some of those bodybuilding supplements so that he'll have a nice bod as soon as possible. That will definitely stop me from teasing him as chubby!
