Happy Birthday Brandon Zyl!

I'm home! And as you all know, I'm home to celebrate my nephew's birthday bash. We spent it at home. We cooked some recipes and my brother's in-laws bought some more food, a birthday cake, an ice cream and balloons to make the little kid know it is indeed his birthday! :D

I'm so glad I'm able to spend more time with this nephew of mine. I love you, Brandon. I wish you'd grow up to be a good boy to everyone of us! Happy Birthday!

Daydreaming About My New Home

One of the plans my Mom have is to finally build a new house. She bought a piece of land here in GenSan and wanted a new home built on it. I love the plan. My brother is going to work abroad soon anyway. Hopefully he'd earn more money out there so that we would be able to make our dream come true.

I want the house to be 2-storey  with four or five rooms. A spacious kitchen and living room accessorized with plants from www.halltrees.com. Not too many of the plants will be elegant. Just enough of them. I would love to decorate and decide on paint to use. :D I'm getting excited already.

I better stop my daydreaming. :D

Home Make-Over Soon

After 2 busy weeks, I finally was able to clean my room! I'm so glad I was able to accomplish that this week. I woke up very early just so I will have more time to do the clean up! I made it!

I'm not really finished yet. I still have to clean up my closet. If I have time, I will ask my Kiddo and his sister to help repaint and decorate my little room. It needs a make over especially that rainy season is coming very soon.  I hope my boyfriend will find the time to help me out. His sister already told me to prepare the tools that we needed: hammer, nails, weld nuts, linoleum and of course, paint. I'm feeling excited about my home makeover just thinking about it. :D

Finding A Home In Manila

I so want to move out of my current apartment. I don't like it there anymore. I wanted a place where I can put a lot stuffs in: appliances, a bed, nice furniture sets and maybe with alloc flooring and then turn it into a real home. I just can't find a place that's nice and at the same time, fits my budget. Sigh.

Sometimes I wish the apartment rentals here in Manila is as cheap as how it is in Pampanga. I used to work their for three years. I stayed at a 2-room apartment. The place is really nice but I shared it with friends and colleagues. My friends helped me save a lot of money by sharing the rent. It's just not easy to convince friends here in Manila to move with me, though. I'm not sure if I'm used to living with someone else, I guess. What I like living alone for now is that, I just have to think about myself. I can leave my stuff messy without worrying someone else at home may get mad for my being stubborn sometimes. However, if I live with somebody else, I'd be forced to always clean my mess up. :D I know most of you can relate to that.

Anyway, I'll continue my quest for a nice and suitable home for me. I know I won't be able to find it soon but I hope one day I will. :)

I'll Be Home Soon

My family and relatives had a gathering last Sunday. It was for my Mother's birthday bash and my big brother, Alexander's celebration of being a policeman. He just graduated from his training and is now officially a law enforcement officer! I'm so proud of him!

A candid shot of my big brother - Alex

My dear cousin Lainy posted a lot of their photos in Facebook. Thanks dear cuz for doing that!!!

My Mom and the gumamela flower... lol!

I can't help but miss all of them all the more. Last week I was just thinking about coming home. I've been saving money for that, anyway. I wish I have silver bars to sell so that I have a lot of money to bring home.

I promise I'll be home soon!

A Dream House By Rohit Communities... :D

One of my goals in life is to be able to live in a beautiful house. A house that I can call my own. I want to have nice furnitures in it, it should at least have 3 bedrooms, has a cozy living and dining room and a kitchen that's equipped with everything I need. A patio would also be nice! :D

If I have the money to spend, I would hire an award winning firm that's going to take care of everything I want for my home. From planning to designing up to the construction of my home, I want it all taken care of by experts. One good example of that firm is one of the home builders in Edmonton, the Rohit Communities. They have hired the best people that can build nice family homes, apartment condos, town-homes and duplexes. In fact they have gathered multiple awards and was even named one of the Top Home Builders by Canadian Home Builder's Association in 2010. They are also named Edmonton's Home Builder of the year in 2010 and 2011. The employees of that firm may have been very proud to be part of the company's success.

I know it's going to take years for me to make this dream come true. I should start setting my goals, I guess. I hope I can land on a job where I will earn a lot of money. I wouldn't wait very long to make this dream of mine come true!

Vacation Is Over...

I'm at the airport right now, waiting for my flight back to Manila. I'm so sleepy. I went out last night and jammed with Kuerdas band on their gig. I also met up with musician friends, Jenny and Gerri who also jammed with us. I really had a great time last night and made the most out of it since it's going to take a while for my next vacation here.

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get settled back in Manila. I'm exhausted and I really feel fat since me and my family spent most of our time eating out! Sigh! I gained more weight. LOL! Might as well get one of those fda approved diet pills!

My 10-day vacation is over! I actually still didn't get enough of it. 10 days is such a short time. How I wish I can extend it. Sigh! I'll be back to reality once again. It's going to be all work, less fun and back to routine life - boring life! :D

I'm glad I was able to spend time with my family and friends, though. I wish it was just a bit longer! :D

Discuss Home Building With Mom...

I still haven't had the chance to check out the piece of land that my Mom bought for me and her. The lot were she wanted us to build a house at. We haven't even discussed the design for the house, haven't decided if we still have to put exterior shutters to make it look nice. I haven't spoken to her after her birthday party because I went with my friend. We left for Marbel in the evening.

We will be talking about it later if we don't quarrel. I'll go home to her so that we can make final decisions about the house. We have to talk about finances which I think she will be so cautious about. That's my problem with her ever since I was in school. It was so hard for her to spend money even if it's beneficial for her. I bet we'll argue a lot about it later tonight. Well, what's new? It wouldn't be normal if we don't fight. :D

Home Sweet Home!

I'm home, finally!

I arrived at the Tambler Airport yesterday at around 2 in the afternoon. Few minutes later, Ate Nimfa and Mark came to fetch me. It's a nice feeling to be back in my hometown. It was too humid yesterday, which is the normal temperature in GenSan. I was glad chitchatting with Ate Nimfa and Mark in the car.

We went straight to Lainy's home since I don't know were to look for my Mom, as usual. :D She doesn't have a phone becuase she don't want to learn how to use it. So I have to ask several people yet my Mom's whereabouts because I don't want to go to our house and find out that she's not there.

I stayed at Lainy's house a few hours. Chatted with Jayson and my brother, Florante. I had the chance to play with their cute puppy, Ewoks. He's really adorable by the way. I'll be posting some pics with him sometime. Lainy and Aunt Rose were still at work.

I went home when our neighbor texted me that my Mom is at home already. That was about 30 minutes ride from GenSan. I'm just so happy to be back home.

I'm doing this blog while waiting for my Mom to get ready since we're leaving for GenSan. My wait will take a while because my Mom does a lot of chores before leaving the house. Sigh. She hasn't changed a bit. :D

I love it here! The air is fresh and not humid at all. It's because our house is surrounded with plants. I call our front yard "mini-forest". LOL!

Here are some photos of our home and the mini forest.

Excited About Coming Home!

2 more days to go and I'm coming home to GenSan! I am really excited to see my family and friends. I'm planning to spend more time with my Mom this time. Maybe make some family time with her and my brothers. Other than bonding with them, we also need to talk about the house that my Mom wanted us to build. I bet she has same idea as I have. I just want a simple beautiful home with wall sconce maybe. :D I am actually still saving for it. I just can't wait to be with my folks!

Can't Wait To Be Back Home...

I was browsing Lainy's recent photos particularly the most recent family occasion which is our cousin's wedding. A lot of relatives came except me and Michelle. My Mom out stood everyone in the occasion. She's actually shining and shimmering because she wore gold! LOL! If I would have known, I should have given her an advice on what to wear. She looks pretty in gold though! :D

The bride and groom with Aunts

My Mom gained weight. She's really stubborn when it comes to her diet. Whenever I remind her about her diet, she will just say that she can't help her appetite. She really love to eat. She might end up doing cholesterol medications if she won't discipline herself. Sigh. I'm supposed to be there with her so that I can help her watch her diet.

I'm coming home soon, Nay!

Planning For A Nice Yet Simple Home

I'm excited about my homecoming next month. I don't know yet what's in store during my vacation break but I'm ready for what will happen. I miss my family so much especially my mom. We have a lot of catching up to do. I know we'll talk about the house that she wanted to build on the 2 empty lots that she bought. She has been telling me about it over the phone and kept asking me to send some money so that she can start getting the home built. I wanted to be their when planning for the architecture because I wanted it to be nice yet simple. I just want a decent home with three bedrooms with a terrace. I can also ask to add a patio and maybe some Dolan Designs lighting to add beauty in it. That would be nice. I better work harder to earn money for the house.
