Patiently Waiting For The Final Call

I'm getting really bored with my life already. I know I shouldn't complain since I have been doing a lot of Church activities. It's just that it's different if you're jobless. Emerson hasn't called yet. I still have until around 5 o'clock in the afternoon to wait. Anyway, they said that they'll be calling me this week but didn't give out the specific day. I really hope they'd call today.

I miss working on a desk, i miss joining some corporate meetings and putting on name badges on bigger conferences. Even though it's quite stressful being in a corporate job but I find it really challenging.

I don't want to entertain any negative vibes. I'll just wait for the call until Friday, I guess. Sigh. I need a job now. I promise I won't mess it up this time!

Rainy Days And A Final Job Interview

It's raining outside. I guess the typhoon Chedeng hasn't left our country yet. Although it's raining cats and dogs here lately, the weather temperature does not seem to be cold. And yet summer is almost over.

I just wanna mumble because I can't sleep. I just got home from my final job interview. It was a phone patch with the American interviewer, Mark. He's seemed very kind over the phone. I keep getting good comments from him every now and then during interview. I hope I'd get a positive feedback about what just happened. I'm hoping to get the job. Money is already running out. LOL! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

My Mom is sleeping like a child right now. I'll be creeping in bed beside her later. I hope she won't wake up very early or else I'll not get enough sleep again today. :D

I hope it's not gonna rain anymore later today. My Mom wants us to go out. I need to take her to where she'll not get bored. She's gonna be around until June 5. I hope we won't quarrel a lot. :D

I need to get some rest now. Goodnight or good day every one!

Getting Ready For A Job Interview

I just finished practicing for a job interview tomorrow. I hope I'll nail it. I'm just so bored with my life right now and I'm running out of cash in my pocket. LOL! I need to get a job ASAP!

Job Hunting...

I have been searching for jobs online. There are a lot of jobs available but I can't seem to figure out which job I would like to apply for. I'll just keep submitting my resume though so I can have options.

As I was searching, I found out that there are more jobs open for bs degree graduates. I got a degree in Bachelor of Arts. There are also a lot of job openings for that but mostly for call centers. I feel like I don't want to be working in a call center industry anymore. I want a day job with good pay. I will have to be very patient in searching for that kind of job. I hope though that it's not going to take a while for me to land in a job. I have a lot of bills to pay and my Mom will get mad at me if she learns that I'm jobless.

Sigh! Job hunting is not that easy, isn't it?

Job Hunting, Here I Go Again! :D

Job hunting is not an easy thing to do. I'm basically starting all over again. I have been browsing the internet to find a job that I'm going to like. I haven't found one yet. I'm thinking about going for a home-based job. I'm just a bit worried because I just reformatted my laptop. Some important applications are not yet installed in my computer. I hope the company that's going to respond to my application won't be needing those applications so I won't have to install them. :D I wonder if they will require an inetsoft reporting tools. If so, then I won't hesitate to have it installed on this computer.

I have until Friday to get a job. I really don't want to pressure myself but I guess I have to. I don't want to ask some money from my mother. She doesn't have any idea that I already quit my job. I don't want her to worry.

I better start the job hunting now. I should not waste time anymore. :D

Helping Out A Jobless Niece

Jore Joy, one of my nieces (a cousin's daughter) told me that she's in Manila and is seeking for a job. She said she just quit the previous job because of salary issues. Now she's going for customer service jobs and is already applying to different call center companies in Metro Manila. She's a bit nervous about applying at the call center industry. So I gave her some pieces of advise regarding interview questions during our chats at Facebook. We didn't have the chance to see each other yet. I have been really busy. But I'm planning to see her maybe next week. I even asked her to apply at my workplace. I don't know when they're going to knock at our company's door. She's been jobless for quite a while now. I hope she gets the job soon.

I can't believe my rest days for this week are over. I haven't seen a movie today yet and I'll be back to work later. Well, I guess I have to take a rest now than be a sleepyhead at work. :D

Update On My Brother's Family

My sister-in-law's dad is still recuperating from having a stroke a month ago. My brother and his wife has to go home and take care of him and their little boy. They stayed here in my place for 2 months to look for healthcare medical jobs from the agencies here in Manila. They were planning to go abroad since both them are registered nurses. They really had a hard time finding the right agency. When they were able to find one, that's when SIL's dad got sick.

I received a text message from my brother saying that they're planning to go back here in Manila to continue the job search. He told me that SIL's dad is getting better now. They might be back here in Manila on January.

I hope they do so they can hopefully get the job that they wanted. I'll always be here to help them, anyway. :D

Congratulations, Czarina, On Your New Job!

My best friend, Czarina, just landed on a job! I'm really happy for her! Way to go, Gat!

She had gone through series of interviews and she passed! She's on her way to becoming a call center agent like me! I'm so happy for her! She'll start her training on Monday. She's a call center newbie and I know how it is like when you're a newbie. With her wits and charm, I'm sure the upcoming training will all be smooth and easy for her.

I'm just happy for you, Gat! If only you're not miles away, I might have thrown a party for you! LOL! Would you take custom usb drives as a present? Or would you rather go out with me and party? I know you'd prefer the latter. Too bad, we're far apart. Let's save the celebration when we get together, aight?

I'm A Tour Guide For The Day! :D

My younger brother, Florante and his wife, Mary Joy arrived here in Manila at 5pm yesterday. I went to fetch them at the airport and I was actually an hour early because I misunderstood my brother's text message. :D Got a bit excited to see them, that's why. I was able to roam around the airport when I waited for them. I was thankful because I was able to get a better room for them just in time and it's nearby my place. I won't have difficulties to check on them whenever I have time.

I was able to tour them in Ayala Land this morning. Since they came here to get a job, I pointed the buildings where they can walk in as applicants. Both of them are nursing graduates and were planning to get a job somewhere in the Middle East together. While they're waiting for the opportunity abroad, they want to work as call center agents first. They have to get a job here so that they can provide for their little baby who was left in the province. Joy's parents are the ones who take care of their 2-year old boy.

The couple seemed like they're not used to long walks. They're still trying to get used to the tall buildings and the busy streets here in Manila. I'm pretty sure they got too exhausted. Even though I was so tempted to ride the taxi on our way back home, I decided for us to ride the bus so that they will know what to do when they're on their own. I also advised them to look on their right when going out of the bus instead of the convex mirrors because motorcycles often overtake all of a sudden on buses. I don't want them to get on an accident.

I hope they won't get lost on Monday. I can't be with them because of work.

All in all, I bet I did a pretty good job being the tour guide for the day. Hopefully they were able to get all my instructions. And I hope their job hunt will become successful.

The Couple's First Day For Job Search

Today is my brother's his wife's first day for job search. The opted to become call center agents for the mean time since it's going to take a while before they can get a job overseas. They still have to process some documents. Besides they have a baby to feed back in the province.

I advised them to apply for customer service representative instead of applying for a technical support agent. They told me that they don't have enough technical skills and don't even had an idea of what a wireless router is. Just like me when I wasn't hired in a call center industry. Most of my technical skills I learned from this industry.

Hopefully their job search this week is going to become successful.

No Job Interview This Week...:(

I just stayed at home in 2 days, waiting for a call from a company that I'm so interested to work at. It's the 3rd day of waiting in vain. I think they're not going to call at all. My cousin, Michelle, who works there told me that she already submitted my name for referral. She herself wondered why they didn't call. I haven't even submitted my resume. I guess I'm gonna have to walk-in as an applicant on April 30. It would have been easier if they just have me scheduled for the initial interview.

I was just home, watched TV and browsed the net for other possible jobs available where I can submit my resume. I didn't get too bored, actually. Although I didn't do much aside from doing the laundry and cleaning our room. I should have jogged in the mornings to at least get my blood to circulate properly. Instead, I kept the flabs in shape. LOL! I've been running out of ideas about loosing weight. I'm actually not doing anything about it. I should get a weight loss pill that works. Nah! I'm too stubborn to exercise. I better get me a better-paying job first so I can spend some money to get fit. :D

I'm gonna have to wait for next week for my job interviews. I hope I will pass! Wish me luck!
