No Replacement For Stolen Laptop Yet... :(

I still haven't bought a replacement of my stolen laptop yet. My money is not enough to buy for one of those laptops notebooks yet. I doubt that I can purchase a new one this year. I got a lot of other plans to spend my money.

But I'm actually thinking about buying a new laptop this year. It's so hard now owning one while maintaining blogs. Lainy actually asked me to handle several of her blogs because she needed to take a break. I gladly accepted it because it means I'll be able to earn some money out of those blogs of hers in addition to my 2 blogs.

Since I still don't have my own computer, I'm glad my boyfriend's sister allow me to use her laptop especially during the weekends. Using her laptop also means that I have to stay at their place until I'm done updating the blogs. I have more time to spend with Kido and his family. I love it! :)

I still hope to buy my own laptop in the near future.

I Was Robbed! (I'll Miss My Dell Laptop) :(

I still feel numb whenever I think about the incident that happened yesterday. It was supposed to be a happy day because I got the chance to perform with the Malibay Christian Chorus and actively participated in our Church's event - Musikang Atin. I had that smile on my face thinking that after a day full of excitement and fun, I'd be able to reach my place and get a good night's sleep.

Just when I opened our boarding house's main gate, my boyfriend and I were stunned when we saw my door widely open and the light in my room turned on. How could it happen when I made sure I kept my door locked before I left in the morning? I rushed to my doorstep without even thinking twice. I just needed to see for myself to confirm that I was robbed. I didn't even think if that burglar was still inside my house or not.

Much to my dismay, what was left on my computer table where my landline and pieces of coins which, I guess, were intentionally left by the thief to further insult me. He took away my purple Dell laptop computer. The thief also got my wallets with atm and identification cards in them. One of those wallets were given by a good friend of mine which I kept for years already.

It was my first time to get robbed. Now I know how it feels like to have something I worked hard for to be taken away from me. I had my laptop for about 3 years now. It has been my companion in my solace and despair. Sometimes it's the first to know when I'm happy. It's actually the first thing I turn on when I get home from work so I can update my status on Facebook and update my personal blogs. It has become sort of my companion for years.

Now it's gone, although I'm hoping to get it back. But I'm already losing that hope. I've reported it to the police but I haven't heard back from them.

I remember my boyfriend kept warning me about changing my door lock. That it would be easy for a thief to break in my room if I won't listen to him. Now I realized I should have changed it, I should have listened to him. It's too late for that, I guess.

I just look at the bright side of what have transpired. I mean worse could have happened if my boyfriend and I caught the thief in the act. Who knows, that perpetrator could have a knife or some deadly weapon in his possession. He wouldn't be brave enough to break in a house in broad daylight without a weapon to defend himself in case he gets caught, right? Anyway, God will be the one who knows what to do with that person. I'll just leave it all to Him.

My family, except Lainy, didn't know about what happened to me. I don't want them to get worried about me anyway. I'll tell them in time. For now, I'll content myself in doing my online chores in web cafes again until I'll have enough money to buy for a new laptop.

No matter how traumatic the experience was, I just keep one simple thought: Even though I'm robbed with material possessions, I'm still thankful I'm alive and able and happy to know that I got friends who care for me and a boyfriend who loves me sincerely. Best of all I have the Almighty Father who continues to comfort me even in this worry-some days of my life. I'll get over this sooner.

Restored Laptop And A Busy Week

I just had my laptop fixed. It crashed this weekend, AGAIN. I don't know yet if this is already a hardware problem. I hope it isn't. The same friend who fixed it couple of months ago restored my computer. I actually did the system restore myself and sadly lost all my files. So I had him reinstall everything including the antivirus program.

Unfortunately though, I can't access some important websites on my browser. I have already tried everything like turning off the security software and other things that Google told me to do but to no avail. Sigh. I'm not able to finish my online assignments because of this. I hope I can get a reply from my friend to fix this. Or else, I'll be doing my assignments at the office where I have been very busy lately.

I still got a lot of things to do this week. Tomorrow I'll be staying with my cousin, Michelle because our favorite Aunts from the province are staying with her right now. I want to spend time with them before they go back to GenSan this weekend. As usual, we got Church activities this weekend which needed my participation.

I hope to go back to my not-too-busy-life. I hope life's gonna be that smooth-sailing next week. I'm looking forward to that! :)

I Got My Laptop Back!

My laptop is fixed! Thanks to my friend! I'm now back to business! LOL!

It's really nice to have friends around who can be a big help in times of dire need! I can live without my lappy but I badly need it! And I don't have much money to purchase a new one in case it won't work at all.

My Laptop Crashed... Again :(

My laptop, I guess, crashed the other day. I don't know what happened. It's just that whenever I turn it on, MY Windows screen doesn't pull up anymore. I just get a black screen. :( I don't know how to fix it. I still have to bring it to a friend who knows about computers to put my laptop back to life. I just recently got another online opportunity and I wanted to be able to finish the online tasks on time so I can earn some more moolah. I hope my friend could fix my dear lappy as soon as possible.

I am taking advantage of my online access here at work. I'm on break right now so I basically don't break any rules. :)

It's so different to not be able to go online in the comforts of my home. Sigh! I really hope I can get my lappy working again today.

I Welcome ME Back! :D

Most of you probably noticed my blog being in hiatus mode for a week. I really apologize for not being online the past week. My computer gave up on me a few days back. I didn't have time to fix it. I actually didn't know how to fix my computer so I had a friend of mine come to my house and do the magic! :D

My computer is now good as new! The sad thing is, I lost all my documents and pictures because I did the reformatting incorrectly. Sigh! My friend was too late to save them. But I'm still glad I had my laptop back up and running! Thank goodness! It's so hard not being able to go online! You know how it feels, right? :D

My New Baby!!!

I finally bought my own laptop!!!

My best friend Czarina, as usual, accompanied me on buying my new portable computer 2 days ago. I was really excited.

When we arrived at the shop and checked out the different laptops on display, I didn't have any idea on what to buy. Then the manager approached us and helped us out. She recommended this Dell laptop and gave it to us at a discounted rate. I was even able to pick my favorite color - purple!

Promise for my Laptop

When I was just canvassing for my laptop, I was really concerned about the specifications although I really don't know too much about computers. Since I had a technical background, just a little bit of it because of my previous account at work, I somehow managed compare the specifications of the portable computer I wanted. I made comparisons on the memory, hard drives, some accessories which will be useful for me. When I bought the computer, I was thankful the manager of the shop helped me out and even recommended a good one.

I just love this new baby. I promise to take good care of it as long as it works!
