Friendship In A Mist

I'm feeling so sad, I feel like I lost a friend.
It's never the same, it feels like the end.
I never wanted us to be this way
I never expected that you'd turn and walk away.

I thought we can just rekindle what we used to have
An opportunity to be happier we won't have to grab
We're so scared of complications we didn't move forward
Coz we thought falling in love will just be too hard

But we're not even friends anymore
How can this be so hurtful?
I have moved on
and thought forgetting you is simple

I don't miss the hugs and kisses
I just miss the laughter and bliss
I think I better content myself
With the memories of our friendship that's seemed to be lost in the mist

I wrote this poem just now. It says everything about how I'm feeling at the moment... Sigh! I should have known better. :(

Last night you came to me
You smiled at me yet your eyes are sad
I didn't ask why
I know there was something wrong

I was talking to you
But you weren't listening
Your thoughts are far away
You're not even looking at me

Finally you spoke
Words uttered were unexpected
You told me you were leaving
I was frozen, I didn't know what to think

Tears run down my face
I didn't know what to say
I can't think of any reasons
Why you're doing this to me

All I know is that I've loved you
In ways which only I can give
I just hope you'll never forget
The memories we've shared

Now I'm missing you
And I don't know what to do
You're all I ever wanted in my life
All I want is you

Hahaha! Pathetic poem, isn't it? I was madly in love with this certain guy before but then he left me and that was the reason I wrote this. You know what? I'm too damn scared of falling in love again. It makes me insane! Well, I've learned a lot from that downfall anyway. :)
