Signal No. 2 In Metro Manila

Another typhoon had made its landfall here in Metro Manila at 5 o'clock this morning. Exactly the same time for me to go home after an 8-hour shift from work. Typhoon Pedring has been all over the news since last night. It actually made itself known earlier in the province of Aurora. A lot of people, especially those who live near the sea and other places in the province, have already gone to the evacuation centers prepared by the government. Students were already informed about not having a class today because of the bad weather. Why can't work get suspended as well when the weather is this bad??? :D

I'm in my room now. Thank God I was able to go home safely. Thanks to my colleague who gave me a lift in her car on my way home. I really didn't have a hard time commuting. It scares me when this kind of typhoon hits Metro Manila. And it's really a hassle especially when I'm on my way to work. I can just imagine what's going to happen on my shift later. :(

I can hear the strong wind blowing outside and the rain falling heavily on the roofs and the streets. I hope I'd still be able to get some sleep later despite this bad weather.

Looking Fabulous During Winter

It has been raining cats and dogs here in Metro Manila lately. Weather reports say there are no upcoming typhoons, just Southwest Monsoon which is brought by typhoons in the tropics. It has been windy as well, especially during the afternoons and evenings. It's good because I'm able to get a good sleep during daytime (as you know, I work nights). Whenever I go to work, I always wish I wear one of those fur coats for women to keep me warm and at the same time fashionable. :)

While I was at work today, and didn't have anything to do, I was browsing some fashion websites and checked out the winter clothing that's "in" right now. I came across ML Furs and saw a lot of very nice fur coats. They're all trendy and chic and really fabulous. It made me want to buy one of those, unfortunately, I'm on budget right now. But surely, I'll be buying one of those one of these days.

Winter clothing especially jackets and coats are real necessities during this time of the year. We don't want to be shivering in the cold. Women like me don't just wear them to keep us warm, we also would want to look fabulous with those coats and other winter clothing!

The Rain And The Mild Earthquake

It's raining cats and dogs once again. I love the rain but I don't like it when it's too much. It causes flooding and tragedy to some parts of the country. I hope the tropical depression "Juaning" will find its way out of the country soon.

Just the other night, we also experienced a mild earthquake. I was at work when it happened. My office was at the 8th floor of the building. The shaking wasn't really that bad. It just felt like I was being swayed and it lasted, well, I guess more than 10 seconds? I'm not really sure. But it was a bit longer. And it's the first time that most of us experienced it. The people around me are about to panic. Thank God the shaking stopped in few more seconds. Or else, my workmate who's seated right next to me might have gone straight to the fire exit. LOL!

I really wasn't worried when the earthquake happened. It doesn't feel like it's the end of the world yet. And if ever it happens, I won't be worried at all! I have FAITH! :)

Rainy Days and A Bad Flu... :(

It has been raining cats and dogs. As expected, with my weak immune system, I usually get sick during rainy seasons. I don't have a choice but to stay home all day and blog and watch my favorite TV shows. I hope I won't get so sick though.

My best friend Czarina is back here in Manila. I went to see her the other day at Robinson's Mall. We watched a movie, chatted for a while and went home afterward. I was really not in the mood because of my flu.

It's still raining hard outside. I envy the kids who get to enjoy playing in the rain. They seem to not care about getting sick. I wish I can be like them once again. Darn! I miss being a kid! :D

Here Comes The Rain! :D

Rainy Season Scraps, glitter, and pictures

The summer has ended here in the Philippines! Rainy days has come! No more humid atmosphere! No more tremendous heat! And best of all, I can sleep at home without perspiring anymore! We don't have air-conditioned unit so you just can imagine how appreciative I am of this season! :D

However, since it's now rainy season, we will be expecting flooding in some parts of the country. Talking about extreme weather, you know! When it's Summer, we experience super hot season. And when it rains, it pours really hard! Sigh! I hope the disaster last year, the Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) which flooded the luzon area, won't happen again this year.

I just bought a new umbrella in preparation for the rainy days. The previous umbrella was pretty used up during summer. It won't be too cold here in Manila but at least it's not so hot anymore.

Thank God for the rain!
